I want some fat rear fenders to be able to run wider rubber in the back. Any updates on this?

Anybody know where to get and how much for the Panspeed ones.

Forgot to add this to your thread. They are 10mm per flare and costs $317 I think for both. Here is the link.

With your fab skills you should have no problem making some flares As a business owner you should see an opportunity here...

Hmmm...I imagined something like this would happen...hehe.

I am not into body work, I have done it before but I honestly just wanted to slap something on my car and move on...as it sits, I might make my own...we'll see if they are nice enough to sell..hehe

When you order the fronts + rear, the shipping is way cheaper than ordering seperate. If I recall correctly, it's about 150 dollars different. Might want to consider that lol.

Yeah but I dont want to change my car...the only reason I am considering rear fenders is because I need the extra "meat" otherwise I wouldn't do it just for looks...

We'll see where this one takes me... :/

chris, here is another idea that someone local to me did with his 8. Instead of flat metal you could do more or a rounded insert to keep the OE lines.

interesting, he cut the fender off, put a flat piece of metal in there, and welded it back together.

i doubt it would be very attractive, and he'd have to solve the issue with rear bumper, but interesting.

reviving the thread!

Has anyone established the final width of the front and rear fenders? I know everyone says 10mm, but is that with the inward roll of the fender? Could it be trimmed off to make it 20mm?

Have they perhaps made wider ones now? I just cant help but think they look much wider than 10mm on all the recent photos of the time attack car.

i can verify that they do not add that much more room to work with. i would estimate them to be 10mm additional, but its hard to estimate with my car because i made the stupid mistake of rolling, pulling and flaring the rears.

but on the other hand the bottom portion of the panspeed rear flare has A LOT of material that can be shaved off if necessary.

it doesn't appear to have much of a lip extension across the top, but I figure it is approx. 10 mm from the outer profile of the OE fender, which would be about an inch from the inner edge of the OE fender lip extension

with the proper offset wheels that would be more than enough

That's the pic i'm looking for.

I could be wrong but it looks like they quote them at 10mm from the inside lip, and that it would in fact probably sit about 20-25mm further out than the factory fender, so with a bit of trimming you should be able to take advantage of an extra 20mm instead of the 10mm they quote.

So after looking at pictures of their most recent car, i can't help but think that those ones for sale are smaller than the ones on their timeattack car. I've sent an email asking about it, but it definitely looks a lot wider than the pics above.

looks the same, just a different angle.
The panspeed car has had most of the upper/inner lip trimmed.
Damn I love that noisy car!

i'm referring to twiz's car.

teams pic is the same car i posted.

they just seem a lot wider. If you look at my pic above, on the front edge of the fender you can see a very dramatic curve where the fender runs into the sideskirt, where as on twiz's you don't see such a dramatic curve, it looks almost straight.

Hey Twiz, do you by any chance have any more pics from the front and rear angles of the car?

I'm pretty sure they trimmed the front/bottom part so the skirts fit properly.
Probably why it looks like it flares out more. The gray car is the same.
