I bought an OEM sports grill for my Mazda6 off of this guy well over a year ago, and it has held up fine. Maybe it was just a bad batch of parts?

So I've had my mud gaurds on for a month now through the rainy season; no yellow spots at all! Hopefully they keep their "new" painter

Unfortunately I just found this thread after I had purchased and installed my VR parts. I saw a bunch of other posts recommending this seller and felt confident in purchasing a full set. I installed the parts myself on a very sunny day wearing sunglasses... I come back to my car the next day and notice the parts look different color!!!! Its a very subtle difference only noticable if you really look but enough to be an annoyance for me! I just called them and they said "these parts are 100% OEM and maybe the paint faded in the sun, take photos and send to me". Not sure what can be done at this point except returning and trying to do a whole reinstall again. I also drilled the holes in the car for the side flares so I can't go back to stock. Terrible experience.

Here are some pictures after the install of the aero parts from azpartsexpress on ebay.

Should I expect to see some difference in the color ?

Is there anybody else that installed VR parts from them?

I installed the front air dam and rear flares and they've held up great for the better part of a year now.

Were your parts exactly the same color? I'm trying to gauge how much of a difference should be expected. Can you take a look at my pics and tell me if you see about the same difference or not?

Thanks.

The thing is.. I don't see any color difference in your pictures.

My paint looks exactly the same.

I would be concerned about the yellow paint coming through like it has for others.

The second picture with the zoom up of the right side bumper its easier to tell. Again its a slight difference in shade and the parts from AZ look more red to me for some reason. If yours look exactly the same then I definitely think theres a problem.

I did see a scratch on one of my side flares and saw some yellow but didn't really think about it at the time. Now I know I need to be concerned.

I got my aero kit from him for my 04 VR. Noticeable color difference for sure depending on how light it is outside and how clean your car is but I bought my aero kit in 2008 and my car had a 4 year old paint job so that is to be expected. Here is a closer picture with the front air dam that I installed from him. Good fitment but as of lately, they haven't been working with me on pricing for another aero kit in cosmopolitan gray so I'm just going for a mazdaspeed motorsports discount to see if I can get a good price on a MS kit instead.

PS

You can't really see the color difference in the picture I put up but there is definitely one there. :P lol

Yeah I was shoveling this last winter around my car cause I park outside and accidentally nicked the underside of the front air dam. Yellow paint through the scratches I noticed that as well. Was a pretty foolish mistake that I could have said I saw that coming but after shoveling the entire driveway that was layered in a mixture of ice/snow I was far from caring at the time lol. And I traded the car since so it's all good lol. I don't think I saw any scratches come through from normal use although I only had the kit for 5 months.

Ok, so I guess I'll just have to live with it. If I would have known prior to ordering I probably would have gone the MS route also. Its not much of a color difference but I'm really picky and it bugs the hell out of me every time I look at the car.Lesson learned here , DO NOT BUY VELOCITY RED AERO KIT FROM AZPARTSEXPRESS!

Don't get me wrong, his prices are unbeatable. He recently quoted me for primered aero kit at like 240. That's extremely cheap vs special ordering them through mazda. If the discount I get from the mazda motorsports is small then by all means I'll probably buy from him to add the stock aero kit. My colors didn't match for the most part simply because my car was 4 years old and his parts were freshly painted. If you want them to match, take them to a reputable body shop and they can bake them or paint them for you. If I do order them again I'll be getting them primered and have the guy who did all the work on my first car paint them to match.

well i received this the other day, side aero flares, rear deflector and front air dam, all of them match perfectly and i have no yellow!!!! I think it must have been a bad batch from azparts. Well i can honestly say the price is a bargain over here the front air dam itself is £400 which is $579.917 , so this was a great deal. Hope that helps.

The yellow doesn't show through the paint. What I was talking about in my prior post is where I nicked it with a shovel and shaved some of the top coat off. It's not a big deal at all. Wouldn't have noticed it had I not done that on the old car. Rock chips and stuff will probably bring it out in the future but you're talking a year at least depending on how far and where you drive the car.

Seems the paint issues are occurring with parts that were purchased in the last couple of months.

I bought the full kit from him in LY including the multicolor fog lights. Had some damaged parts when they first arrived but he replaced them. Check my album for pics of it installed. The car is over 4 years old so the paint on the car is much older than the kit but I don't think it is that off. The kit was OEM factory painted and still sealed in the Mazda box and instructions and all.
