I had a garage do the work because of time constraints, tell me more. What is the fix?

They probably didn't cut the bump stops either.

Loosen the nuts a turn for the upper control arms with the car on the ground.

Then tighten them back up.

Some drove the car around the block with them loose and then tightened them up when they got back. This will help settle the car quicker.

That spoiler looks to large for the 8.

Claims on discontinued vehicles sometimes result in a total loss cause parts are no longer avail after a few years.
They have to keep parts for 10 years.

Here is a pic of the wires for the third brake light. I connected the blue wire to the yellow/blk (+) and the white wire to the solid black wire (-). The large drill bit is a 5/16...this one was used to drill the hole for the brake light wires. I did not drill thru both layers of the trunk to run the brake light wires. I used a piece of coat hanger to fish the wire thru to one of the openings on the under side of the trunk. The smaller drill bit was used to drill the 4 holes needed for the studs on the wing. You have to drill thru both layers of the trunk with the small bit. I put a piece of wood on the inside of the trunk when drilling from the top to make sure I did not damage the rubber trunk seal. After you drill all the way thru use the funny shapped bit (5/8) on the underside of the trunk to widen the holes from the smaller bit. You have to widen the holes so you can put the socket onto the nut. I used a 1/4 drive and extension with a deep 10mm socket. The (4) rubbers grommets were used as finishers for the bolt access holes.

*Note.....just as a precaution for possible leaks I applied a small amount of
gasket sealer around each hole before mounting the wing.

There are no bolts needed cause the wing has studs on the bottom. You will need a few (4) nuts that are the same size as the ones used to attach the overflow tank or tray that sits under the airbox to the radiator support. Should be a 10mm nut.....it does have a weird thread pattern. Lowes or Home Depot in my area did not have a match. I had some old 10mm Honda nuts laying around that worked. Next get some blue painters tape or masking tape and place several strips on each side of the trunk. Set the spoiler on the trunk and line it where you want it. My spoiler sits less than a 1/2 inch from the back edge of the trunk. Once you have it where you want it take a pencil or pen and mark where each stud is. Remove the spoiler but not the tape cause the tape will help keep the drill bit from sliding all over the place during the initial drilling. Only drill the holes for the studs. After you have those drilled out you will have to eyeball the spot for the third brake light hole. Just make sure you keep the hole under the base of the wing or you will have a leak.

Mine came with studs that required 4 nuts. Sounds like you will have to use bolts. Should not make a difference in mounting it though. You can always screw in some bolts and sit it on the trunk then mark where the holes should go. The install is not that hard. Should only take about 1 hr to do.

I have been in contact with the guy who has about 80 of them already painted....red, black, silver, yellow, blue and white. They are really cheap and he is ready to sell every one of them. I am not a vendor nor am I trying to be one but is someone is interested they need to let me know. I will be calling him tomorrow to advise him on how my install went and to send him pics of the spoiler on my ride. He will be using the pics of my car on his web site since I am the first one with an 8 who has bought one of them from him. The pics I took during the day show the spoiler sitting on the trunk after I drilled the holes.....was not tightened down yet. The pic I took at night is after the install was complete...had to wire up the brake light.

Like I stated earlier you can see how close the color match is on the silver spoiler against my ride.
I think I saw it in once in the City. Something just like it.

Looks nice imo tho

I'm not bashing you, but I have to agree with the other guy. Having two center brake lights will make your car look like you bought a $99 ebay spoiler special.

btw my spoiler did not come with studs and i purchased a 6m x 1.0 open ended stud or bolt and the nuts are obiously 6milimiter nutsss.....make sure when you drill the first two holes you line up where the other two are and double check this almost cost me drilling 2 more holes...wiring doesnt reach to the oposite sidde so i have to extend somehow....sucks but it can be done

My wires reached the thrid brake light on the trunk just fine. I ran the wires for the light on my wing between the two layers of the trunk. I had to use a clothes hang to fish it out but it was pretty easy to do. Try to post a pic of your install (top and bottom of trunk) cause it sounds like you did something different than what my insturctions read.
