New spoiler for the RX8
 

You would not believe what car this spoiler came off. I bought this brand new spoiler about a week ago and was not sure if it would fit our 8's. Althought it is painted using a paint code from a none import the color is very very close to my sunlight silver. I have been in contact with the guy who has about 80 of them already painted....red, black, silver, yellow, blue and white. They are really cheap and he is ready to sell every one of them. I am not a vendor nor am I trying to be one but is someone is interested they need to let me know. I will be calling him tomorrow to advise him on how my install went and to send him pics of the spoiler on my ride. He will be using the pics of my car on his web site since I am the first one with an 8 who has bought one of them from him. The pics I took during the day show the spoiler sitting on the trunk after I drilled the holes.....was not tightened down yet. The pic I took at night is after the install was complete...had to wire up the brake light.


Like I stated earlier you can see how close the color match is on the silver spoiler against my ride.

not too bad. i kinda like it except for the light.

+1. 4th brake light screams aftermarket to me. I would disconnect it.

I knew it was the GTO, but the color codes through me off, seeing as there isn't a white GTO.

hmm how does it look from the front .. seems like the sides would be sticking out .. making it look a bit strange

That was my fault....thought there was one.

Call me what you want but I like it. It looks better than the stock spoiler in my opinion. You can always pick on the ppl who bought that ugly a$$$$$ x-men spoiler.

I like the 4th brake light. It screams OEM to me. May not be from Mazda but its not aftermarket.

For those who may be interested this spoiler is light weight. My trunk still pops open when I hit the trunk release.....so its not one of those heavy a$$$$$$ ebay knockoffs.

By the way it costs about $155 shipped anywhere in the continental US.

For the price it is worth a try. I talked to the guy earlier today and he will be able to do $150 anywhere in the continental US. Here are addtional pics for those who asked how far it extends off the sides of the car.

See Tigger!!! You should have just bought this spoiler and you could have had the best of BOTH worlds. ;)

Doesn't look all that bad actually. I still prefer my MS spoiler but not bad...

the GTO got discontinued?!

I like it. It's not some overgrown erector set with a surfboard on it!

Actually that spoiler was the first thing I removed,as did many other GTO owners. The only thing it did for the car was block the lower 1/4 of the view out the rear window.

Yep.

It's a little surprising that the GTO spoiler fits as well as it does, but that doesn't mean I want one of those monstrosities anywhere near MY trunk. The "depth" of the thing (front-to-back), especially on the ends, is a deal-breaker.

makes the rear look fat to me.....maybe with a kit or something to fill it in...but otherwise its a bit much in the back

i think that spoiler looks great but like tigger said about the view out the back must largely diminished and my tints are so dark that i can barely see right know as it is
