thanks Rev, bulb swapped out.
Can't believe it's taken me this long to swap out that damn light, especially considering I've changed every single light on my car. (at least once)

I really wish I'd have remembered about this thread before ordering 4 sets of LED's last week. Oh well, still worth the money.
I just changed out my driver's lights (little round guys up front) again and this time I went with the SMT Hi Power 194's

think I'm going to take your recommendation on the clear corner bulbs: http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...-p5768086.html

but the map lights you have in the 1st post are sold out.
suggestions?

I hope you make it to the next meet Jedi with the new bulbs, I have been *this* close to ordering the Hi Power SMTs for parking lights and sides.

Rev: the parking lights are on the car already, I might order the high power for the clears but I don't think I'll have them by Saturday's meet.

anyone have any good recommendations / experience for map lights?
I've got a set of random 194's in there now but they're not all that great.

These are listed in the 1st post as what Aipex is using but they are no longer available.

Ordered a pair of parking lights and fog bulbs like 3 days ago. Just received them. I love the fast ship.

I'm still on this LED kick (again) and was about to order new side marker bulbs, map light bulbs, and a dome light but the dome lights are out of stock.

the biggest problem with that bulb being out of stock is that now I"m looking at MORE led's.
Now I want to replace the vanity mirror bulbs. Why?! no clue, I never use them but because so 'everything will match'

Just take the vanity mirror bulbs out and tell your passengers to use the map light!!! Problem solved!!!

Btw V-leds got me pulled over tonight. Cop said that the WHITE strip light leds that I rigged up above the license plate are blue. He let me off but just a word of warning, especially if you drive a blue 8

get rid of the strip, I always thought it was a bit 'ricey'. Just get a good LED bulb in there and you're good.

Well let us know when you decide. The original bulbs in the map light is about as bright as a brithday candle. Tired of using a flashlight to look for things on the floor when it's dark out.

These two pictures were taken with the following inside a pitch black garage:

Map lights & courtesy door lights:

Dome light:

I will try to snap a couple better ones with my little tripod later on to reduce blurriness

Very happy with them although I do notice that they flicker ever so slightly as they shut off. I only notice this when looking directly at them, there is no apparent strobing effect going on in the car though

SNTP I'll snap a couple for you showing the brightness on the front and rear floors

I'll try to get some decent night pics this week. Or I might wait a week or so till I replace the corners as well.

Thanks man, I always roll with the dome light on with the other lights so it's plenty bright, if anything it's a teensy bit brighter than the pics show irl.

but regarding your pm you may be onto something
