New Body Kit Mazdaspeed replica

Just got my car from the body shop with front rear bumpers with a rear wing. I also remove all the Mazda badges, painted the brake calipers black and added clear side markers for a nice clean look.

I may add the fender strakes in future as they are pretty cool.

That looks awesome! I've been thinking about getting a replica kit I don't want to pay for authentic because these roads+my ride height=destroyed bumper and side skirts.

The wing didn't quite line up nicely leaving an odd gap. the fitter did a great job of molding it and it looks great.
With the replica kit I don't know if it end up being cheaper because they have to fit it and its never quite perfect, so you pay more for fitting and it does not look quite as good. Mine has a few small issues around the side markers and the underneath wasn't screwed to the under panel so I am taking it back to get that done tomorrow. The back looks pretty good but if you look really close I think the drivers side is slightly off but you can hardly tell.
The wing looks great as it was molded but that added $160 to the price.

I think the car is looking good and definitely glad I upgraded :-)

I have a feeling that our cars are going to look very similar, as I'm wanting the MS front, rear and (maybe) wing. I'm also undecided about the sides. OEM or MS... Also, my calipers are black, and I have strakes on the vents.
Very similar, indeed...

I know what you mean maybe you should keep your bumper grey. At the end of the day its 2 cars looking the same in North America its not like we live in the same city.

I agree the grill is too bright and overpowering taking way from the rest of the car, I am hoping that once I have a few bugs splattered on it and a bit of weathering that it will be more dull.

I ordered the 3 parts from Bodykits.com they had the cheapest prices I found with shipping.

Front Bumper
http://www.bodykits.com/Extreme-Dime...102637/616112/

Rear Bumper
http://www.bodykits.com/Extreme-Dime...102638/617614/

Wing
http://www.bodykits.com/Extreme-Dime...100585/618881/

The front is a little off around the side markers if you look closely and there is a slight rippling affect across the nose.

The rear is a good fit but the line is not quite flush on one side

The wing looks great but the base did not line up correctly to the truck, the molding I had done looks amazing though. The wing is also adjustable which is really cool it has 3 settings mine is currently giving max downforce but you can flattern it more.

The 3 parts cost just under $1000 shipped to my house. (they have to ship to the billing address)

Yeah I wanted them to install the fog light but they are just no where near fitting. Apparently you can buy the Mazdaspeed units that will work, or I could just get some aftermarket ones. Not sue I want to start cutting holes in the silver mesh at the moment though. It's a thought in the back of my mind, the connectors are there so it will be easy to fit new ones, if I can find a place to mount them and see some that I like

you don't have to cut holes in the screen if you don't want to. I just received authentic fog mounts, but I'm gonna leave the screen intact.
If you can't find authentic, go to racing beat and look up their mounts https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/mazdaspeed-foglight-mounting-options-209002/

@rx8soldier aww I have just sold the fog lights. Oh well I might put a light in there though to light it up at night that might look cool as there is plenty of room behind there.

The car looks great! I would have never guessed they weren't the real thing. I was thinking about getting those bumpers as well. If you had to do it again, would you still go with a replica kit or spend the money on the real thing? Where did you get those LED corners by the way? Very nice.

I checked the prices of the originals and they are around $1200 Front and rear $900 spoiler.
I would definitely go with the replicas that I bought they are great quality the urethane is like a firm rubber so if you do hit the odd curb you will not damage the bumper. At worst you will damage the paint. I think the spoiler looks great.

I think I paid too much for fitting it cost me $1300 and the original parts were being fitted by the insurance company due to a hit and run.

Aesthetically the parts look good there are a few minor issues around the side markers but other than that it is pretty good. Under the car was a different story though. CHeck out the video.
I took it back and they fixed it with a few screws and zip ties. But I felt I would have done a better job putting it back together.

If you are going to install a body kit try to find someone you know who can fit it for you. Or at least somewhere that has great recommendations.

The side markers are the clear ones from Rotary FX and I also got the super bright LED's. If you get them order an extra set of LED's for your side lights (small light in headlights)

I agree with the front grill I think it takes away from the cool front spoiler. I think I am going to paint it Black but leave a Silver "Rx8" lettering in the middle. Which will look cool.

I have a British accent because I am English. I was in the British army and served at MacDill AFB in Tampa met a girl, got married blah blah blah....
