Mazdaspeed Foglight Mounting Options

Since Mazda isn't making fog light brackets for the OEM fog lights anymore for use on the Mazdaspeed bumper, I'm looking for alternate options for mounting them. So what whould be the best way to mount OEM fog lights on a Mazdaspeed bumper without using the Mazdaspeed brackets?

I would find a good metal shop in the area and see if they can make you a set for you.

I understand where you are coming from, if done right though they do look alright. And yes I'll post a write up if I can make it look alright and its a sound modification. Till then if you guys or girls find pictures of RX8s with a MS bumper w/fog lights please post them here so I can have some reference, thanks.

Has anybody ever done LED strips in the oil cooler holes on the MS front? I'm strongly considering the idea...

That's exactly what I was thinking of. Seems like a great alternative to the stock fog lights w/ MS bracket. It should be easy enough to wire the LED into the same harness type that is used by the fogs.

I thought about the LED strips but I'm just a sucker for fog lights.

Was following this thread, as I want foggies on my front MS bumper too (getting the bumper installed at the moment)

Would you have a photo from the front with the MS bumper on?

Also how are the brackets attached? Looks like its bolted onto the oil coolers, but over in Aus we only have 1 oil cooler, not 2.

For installation, in this picture notice the hole to the right and the two bolts inside, thats how the bracket is attached not attached to the oil coolers.

Here is a pic with the bumper on, don't worry I'm getting it painted.

Geez it looks like you had a miserable time working on you car doing this. Looks cold and snow is still sitting on your door. Anyways so these brackets mount the fog lights back far enough the mesh sits fine in front of them? And did you have to remove the plastic air ducks that direct the air into the oil coolers?

Did they redesign the relocation kit for the foglights? They don't look the same now.

I believe you can still get them shipped from Japanparts.

When I was looking to get a Mazdaspeed front bumper, they told me they still had some available, they're only discontinued for the US Market.
