They did a awsome job, fixed anything that cracked and the paint matched perfect, so I am happy. They also polished for free 3 months after it was done. I also had all my badges removed, holes welded and made nice and smooth.

Even though you might think it is expensive, it is quality and I'm not worried about it falling off or cracking! It sometimes cost a pretty penny to play and cheap usually means exactly, "CHEAP"! SO LET'S SEE YOUR PICS
click on my vbGarage in my sig for a couple pictures. replica and install down in NJ was a fifth of yours.

Swerve76 I am not a buddy! And thank you chrism for clarifying that cost difference.
Do you really think that if I pay for a JDM kit I'm going to cheap out on the install and paint. I live in the largest state of car modification it doesn't come cheap around here.

Oh and I saw your pics, looks good, front bumper looks a little rippled unless that is just the pic. But you don't have a rear bumper and she is crying for lowering springs!

no, you're right. the kit isn't complete and i've been going back and forth about what i want to do with the rear (aero flares, rear diffuser, MS rear, etc.) and haven't pulled the trigger on any. as for the lowering springs, i'm already scraping when i take my daughter to school so i can't go any lower even if it would look better.

and you're also right. the front bumper isn't perfect but that has more to do with the replica than the installation. i feel the guy i picked to do the work on it is the best in the NE. he probably could have spent more time and maybe i would have had to pay $1k to make it perfect but i was just looking for very nice for me - not showroom.

so yes, had i paid full price for an authentic, i might have been pickier about making sure it was perfect but even CA labor shouldn't be $3k. but both of us enjoy our kits and are happy with the installations. i sleep at night knowing i am very happy with what i got and still had money for my kids. you sleep at night knowing you paid top dollar and it should look perfect and you can go back and have things fixed.

looking back at my posts, i think we were both trying to accomplish two different things and both or neither are the right way.

IMO buying cheap and or fake wheels to go with an authenticate kit is just a whack. Anyone think they are pimping with a $3k - $5k kit and >$1k wheels is fooling themselves But people still do it. Not sure it is really worth debating though because everyone is going to do what they want or can afford.

Yeah true, I have had those wheels for a really long time, before the kit. I have volk wheels coming in the future, just came back from LA and got my pricing for them. They are custom volks they will take about 3 months to get here, sucks!
