uhhh from my understanding carbon fiber shouldnt give you any problems. Only thing I heard is hail damage on a CF hood is a concern. Can anyone assure me of this?

I really don't think that it should crack due to thermal contraction or expansion, unless there are very bad manufacturing defects. It may, however, become more brittle, and more prone to damage in extreme cold. But, I never actually tested that when I was working with CF parts back in college.

i personally would do exactly what chris m said.

untop of that i might not let the ice build up on it either.. but if your driving the car often the hood should heat up enough to melt ice/snow on your hood.

resin is more resistant to temperature, than say a hit from a rock. just keep snow off of it.
