Mix and Match Aero

I purchased my car a few months back and it has an authentic Mazdaspeed body kit on it. I believe the old owner used to be on this site actually, Benduen, or something.

Anyways, the front bumper of the kit is trashed from the previous owner, the guy between me and Benduen, I'm assuming.

I have been unable to find a mazdaspeed bumper that isn't a million dollars. Also, I find the look of the mazdaspeed front bumper kind of lacking.

Is there any front bumpers you would recommend that I could mix with the sides/rear/spoiler of the Mazdaspeed kit and still look good?

I was thinking the Shine front bumper or even a stock bumper with a nice lip...

Anyone have any pics of any 8s with mismatched kits?

Thanks in advance,

I'm in the same situation as you are, I have the MS kit but not the front bumper.

Anyways, I found this picture which really has me considering the R Magic front bumper, I think it goes well with the rest of the kit.

Lots of cars with parts from multiple kits. Be easier for you to go through the Calling All <insert color> threads. When putting something together you have to keep the flow of all the pieces in mind or you will end up with something that looks like crap.

rmagic looks so good with their eyelids.

I think the rmagic front bumper looks even better with their cf lip attachment.

I also like the feed front bumper

I really like the factory front bumper with the aero package lip but not sure how it would look.

Also been trying to find the Shine Autobahn front with the MS skirts/rear. I think that would look good!

Thanks for the reply guys. Keep em comin.

Check the stickied thread in this forum called"All RX-8 Body Kits". Look there to see if there is something that you like. This was created a long time ago, so smome of those are no longer available. Others have to be imported from Japan and are quite expensive. Replica kits, while being cheaper, likely suffer in quality. Additional money will be required by the body shop to make them fit properly. Stay away from Extreme Dimensions.

Like a few others have mentioned the pieces have to flow together or it will look like crap and very broken up.

I have a very mismatched kit but it all flows very well IMO. dont mind the blue painter tape, I was traveling to a show.

Don't get an ED kit. I made that mistake and threw it away when I got to the body shop and the guy said it was gonna look like $***.

Check this out:
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/shine-auto-project-229672/.

They seem to be quality kits priced to compete with ED and co, though I have yet to confirm that.

Thanks for the link.

Out of all the bumpers that Ive seen, the Shine Autobahn front bumper just looks the best IMO.

Do you guys think it would flow well with the MS sides/rear/spoiler? Any photoshop pros around? lol
