Mesh or no mesh - or do I even have a choice

Maybe a dumb question, but here goes:

I have an aftermarket kit on my 8 and I really don't like the look of the mesh in the front bumper. Is it reasonable to go without mesh? Or will too much crap (dust, etc) then get into the car and cause problems?

wow,,, ok well it might help if we knew what bumper you had on it,,,
Personally Mesh is a good idea,,, if you dont like it try powdercoating it black, that will hide it alittle and you still have the protection from rock flying into your rad or FMIC...

Definitally get mesh, but make sure it is black. The "grille's" that are chrome are aluminum look like crap.

I agree, keep the mesh just make sure it's a color that won't annoy you. (ie; BLACK!)

Last thing u want is something the car in front of you picked up flying into your bumper and smashing your radiator! It happened to me...it was the bottom of the ciggarrette looking cones....Bent my radiator in half or in a V shape...Was out of a car for like 1 week while the radiator got replace....the bottoms to those cones weight like 5-10 pounds....Murphys Law...if something can go wrong it willl so protect yourself...., and another thing is that you dont want a plastic bag flying into your engine and melting smelling like crapp...or any sort of litter....Powdercoat it black though... im going to do mine next week

Thanks for all the help everyone!! I was at work all night so I couldn't post until now. I have the Tsunami front, and I HATE the silver mesh that comes with it. I bought some black mesh, but the way the light hits it, it still looks silver . I would love to go without the mesh, but as everyone has mentioned, that is unfortunately not a good idea. Anyone know of any mesh that looks really black from all angles?

Make the mesh flat black. Then it won't reflect or look silver. I actually use some plastic black mesh. no chipping and works perfectly.
