Picking up an 04 rx-8 this week, I had an 05 previously that had the stock spoiler on it. The one I am getting now does not and I feel like it needs one, I would like to pick up the mazdaspeed. Can I bolt the spoiler to the trunk or do i need to buy a trunk that already has one on it? drilling is fine with me

 

Either spoiler will work. You'll be given a template and need to drill holes. Also they will give you heavier duty trunk shocks. Those are easy to replace as well.

 

a ton of people like the spoilerless look and you will probably be able to trade trunk locally for one w/ a stock spoiler that way you already have the bolt pattern drilled by mazda and then you'll be able to sell the stock spoiler for a few dollars
