Mazdaspeed rear spoiler raisers
Hi There
Can someone have a look at the photo here and let me know if the upper spoiler brackets are available as a part to buy?
You can see that the spoiler sits about twice the normal height due to the top brackets are taller then the standard ones.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Rotaman

It certainly does look like a stock mazdaspeed uprights thats been used upside down along with the normal bottom ones.
The problem is that where the spoiler normally sits is right in the middle of viewing out the rear view mirror, so I would like to raise the spoiler an inch or two.
I have seen this same setup on a couple of cars now and they are probably both Jap import models, which is what most of the RX8 are that come into New Zealand.
If anyone knows if this is definitely a mazdaspeed upright used upside down, then I guess I could start looking for someone who has some spare parts around somewhere.

Well as usual I ended up designing something myself and had a couple of bits of alloy bent to shape.
I looked at using another set of bottom Mazdaspeed mounts, but they would require a lot of modification to make them work.
So this is what we ended up with, and it only cost me $30nz.
This retains all the original parts and just adds the centre piece to raise the spoiler about 2inchs or 50mm hole to hole.
At least now I can see out the rear vision mirror without having to duck my head down.
Its not the prettiest look, but it works.
Thanks
