Idea - RX-8 Kodo/Shinari Kit

I just thought to myself that it would be great to have a Kodo styled body kit along the lines of the Shinari concept. The kit could include front bumper, grill, fenders, head lights, sides, side mirrors, rear bumper and tail lights.

I actually think it looks like a natural progression of the design styling of pre-nagre Mazda's.

what i'm trying to say is, its not even a kit, more like a stock body.. and the front lower part reminds me of Abflug sides which might goes well with it

I would say no to this idea. i love the new design concept but i just don't feel like it'll fit our cars at all. You would spend more than it's worth in my opinion. Just the idea of custom made head lights and taillights would be crazy insane costs. If you do pull this off, kudos :D

The headlights look similar to Rx-8 headlights with Kei Office eyelids IMO.

Shinari def takes design cues from RX-8; they even used a couple components from the RX-8 to fabricate the concept!

In another instance, the Shinari sort of picks-up where the RX-8 concept left off 10 years ago. The styling is reminiscent to all mazdas currently in production & also give us an idea of where Mazda wants to be. Mazda's last few concepts are much more prodigious than other manufacturer's... presumably, their bodies are more easily interchanged.

I wish there was a Kodo/Shinari/ RX-8/Mazda6 body kit; I know I would certainly buy one.

Definitely does not follow our current bodylines, way too aggressive for our 8', need to subtle it out. On top of that, there goes the use of our oil coolers :P

I like the Shinari style grill on an enlarged center (radiator) opening. This I could see myself doing

the lower splitter... not so much
