letting more air in
I removed my front bumper and notice a big piece of plastic that covers the front of where the air seams to enter your intake. Has anybody removed this? There is also a long 2" tube that goes there as well. I'm thinking of removing both of these and let the air flow directly to my intake...Would this be a good Idea.

I believe what you are referring to is the front end support (black plastic piece)
and the VFAD (long tube). Removing the support only serves to weaken the stability of the body panel. Removing the VFAD will cause problems with air flow into the stock box, will likely cause a CEL, and not help performance.
Just my 2 cents. It's likely others with more technical savy will chime in with additional info.

The bumper support helps keep the bumper from sagging...and doesn't interfere with air flow....the VFAD can be removed with no problems....it is removed when adding the RB air duct...with no CEL or problems. I appears to function mainly as a silencer for the intake
