Seems like you do? I don't understand how some people can't tell if they have HID or not. Easiest way to tell (besides just looking at the lights and recognizing the color) is do you have stock foglights? Only the base model with no fogs are halogen headlights. If your car has foglights (fromt he factory) then it also has HID.

alright well heres a question... i have a base model and im thinking about getting the RPM stores HID conversion kit but i dont know which one to get, the 35w or the 55w, whats the difference in the lighting? more power or? Theres a note saying the color changes if you get the 55w ballast...
"55-watt ballasts tend to wash out the color of the bulbs, so you may want to choose a higher color temperature than you would if you were ordering a 35-watt kit."
so what should i go with, 35w with 6k's or 55w with 8ks???

really??? too bright??? **** ugh well now im stuck with 6k or 8k because the 55w would wash out the color... i mean i dont want all blue, i want something that looks balanced but also being able to see the blue easily just not too much...
And thanks Alex, ill go with 35w, but my ^ problem still exsists lol

From what I understand 35w is still much brighter than halogen. I also saw a video that was saying something about how conversion kits can cause the light to scatter and it is like having your brights on, so it messes up oncoming traffic. I would recommend the 35w because apparently these kits are illegal(at least in some places). so getting noticed for that, wouldn't be good.
Plus the stock halogens are 55w, and you're always safer going with a lower wattage. than higher, but just to be safe, go with the 35w, they have proved to work.

Remember that the higher the color temp, the lower the light output. The color temp is just a label applied to the bulb, probably measured at a base of 35W. If you push more wattage through an 8000K bulb, you are raising the light output which in turn will lower the color temp (washing out the color as RPM puts it). So, effectively a 6000k 35w and a 8000k 55w will look similar colorwise and have a similar output.
So, if you are going for maximum brightness go for the 55w in the lowest color temp. If you are going for lots of color, get the 35w in 8000k (or higher if you want). Mixing high wattage with a high color temp bulb isn't really going to get you anything except costing you more and using more wattage.
