And after 45 minutes, became incredibly frustrated as I know the answer is here SOMEWHERE. What I'm looking for is where to find the front/rear Rotary Crest/Emblem/Badge/Ornament etc. that goes on the hood and replaces the Mazda logo. I swear you would think this would be relatively simple to search the forums or internet for, but in reality (well, at least my reality), it's pretty difficult when you don't know what they're actually called. I would think Crest, personally, however most of those links and merchandise on ebay queries pull up the accents.

both could be found at the dealer... theres badges for sale in the FS part of the forum...

 

yea, im confused as well, emblems on the hood?? Just go to your dealership or finishlineperformance.com or mazdaparts.com.

 

sounds like you're trying to swap the factory "m" for a rotary one? Ebay is going to be your best bet for that probably, or some of the rotary vendors like mazdatrix, corksport, might have some efini style ones or something from a 7 you could use. just do a search on ebay for rx8, it'll pull up all kinds of stuff, there's emblems/badges on there all the time, mazdaspeed ones, rotary ones etc.

 

No need to search. I can tell you there is no any for sure.
And I've made some for my car.

 

I've been looking for the post I've seen here with the pics--just can't remember which thread it was on. It looked similar to the rotarty emblem you can get for the b-pillar. I'll see if I can find it tonight...

Sounds like you are looking for an efini emblem.

I hope not though as the 8 is not considered an efini car.

Yes!!! Thank God somebody found it... I swear I've spent the better part of three hours trying to find the pics. There was some other pics with it on the hood as well (though it may not have been the same car).

Was this a custom-job, or can it be purchased somewhere? Thanks for your help!
