HELP! Headlight problem

I was just driving home today, crossed an intersection and thought that my lights weren't as bright as they used to be for some reason. Then I realized the headlight beams were only lighting up about 30ft infront of my car! When I got home I realized the projectors were aimed waaaaaaaay down, but the Auto-Level malfunction light didn't come on. I just unplugged my battery hoping that it'll go back to original specs on its own, but this is freaking the hell out of me. I really don't want to go to Mazda on this, as I don't really feel like getting **** for my test pipe install and my CEL. Has anyone else had this issue?

Damn, I just had that problem today. Except mine's the exact opposite (people were braking erratically and opposite traffic were highbeaming me) cause my headlight's aimed too high. But my headlight malfunction light came on 3 weeks ago (but without any aim problem) and the dealer can't solve it so they're ordering in new parts for me. Then just a few days ago the malfunction light went off but then now I got the problem with the aim
I'm waiting for the dealer to get back to me...
