Front Bumper Replacement?

New Member Here

Hey i just bought my 2004 RX8 a little over a week ago its black and a little rough around the edges (scratches, minior dings) My front air dam is cracking right down the middle and is held on by vip ties (what a rig) the diver before must had ran in to a curb or something this also caused the front bumpers locking brackets that hold it to the fender to break on the passenger side since the wind has been flexing the bumper it is now spliting by the headlight. What should I do? i dont wanna put a whole body kit on the car right now. I wouldnt mind buying a new OEM front bumper and air dam but if i can get away with an aftermarket that combines both into one that would be great. I dont want the aftermarket bumper to be any lower then my OEM bumper. any suggestions?

you could get a new one at www.onlinemazdaparts.com
try sending a PM to Mazmart (forum vendor near top of home page)
send a PM to getredytogr3ddy (or however that's spelled), Patrick might have a bumper.

both Mazmart and gr3ddy sell used parts but they'll be in better shape then what you've got now and probably more cost effective then getting an aftermarket bumper. (even if you have to respray the used ones to color match)

Most aftermarket bumpers will be lower than the stock...I don't know which (if any) retain the same height

I wouldnt mind so much it dropping an inch or two. I just dont want it to look stupid with the stock skirts and rear bumper.

There is the Mazdaspeed which drops it about an inch but be prepared to spend 1,200-1,500
