The skirts are identical however the bottom 1/3 or so is carbon instead of a continuation of the hybrid material. The FEED sideskirts have a guideline for where the division is so the Shine product will be spot on.

Teaser shot, sin side skirts. Don't mind the shaved side marker, just something I'll be doing for various reasons

Forgot to mention, a part of what is great about this front bumper is that it really flows well with the stock sides and would look great with oem mudfgaurds, for those of you who don't dig full side skirts or would prefer not to purchase them.

Now I really want the bumper.... lol

And from the sound of it, the quality of fitment is going to be pretty damn good!

PDX- as you can see they are still not on the car for a reason,,,

I'll answer to all these in one statement, Shine accidently sent me two sets of Sides(Replicas of the Burnout sides) and it was almost laughable how different they were, while one set fit pretty snug(after removing the small plastic gaurd that is in place if you do not have the OE mudflaps) the other was over a half inch oversized with that plastic placehold in place. I have talked to just about everyone that owns these sides and they had to come up with some adhok way of attatching them, ranging from three layers of double sided tape to rubber silicon that created the ever desireable toothpaste effect. While Shine appears to be the go to co. for quality replica, just remember it is what it is a replica,,,,
Im sure your first impression was a good one Paris but when I say half inch off thats being generous,,,
There are enough owners of the Burnout kit on here to vouch for the quality Im sure but its now been two weeks of making my own mating surfaces out of Apoxie to get the fitment right...
I was even going to give the second set away to a local person but after test fitting them I doubt that they will still want them after I demonstrate how far off they are...
Now this doesnt mean that Shine is a bad co. or that my buying experience wasnt pleasant, because it was. It just means you get what you pay for I see alot of people that are jumping on the train to excitmentville, Im just putting it out there as a caution not to be suprised if there are variations and people come back on here bitching and crying that thier **** dont fit...

I can respect that Greg - and i agree, like i've said before, my sideskirts aren't perfect by any margin. It's probably my only gripe about the whole kit. My front and rears are damn near perfect though. I can't find the post ATM, but i remember giving my rating of the whole kit and the lowest grade was about the sideskirts as well. I guess i was forgiving but that was only after i've seen what other replica companies had to offer (i.e. Extreme dimensions etc.). All n' all, it's hard to argue against authentic so i choose not to - if given the opportunity to purchase authentic, i'd advocate it over replica any day - i was just saying how shine was more **** about fitment than other replica companies...heh, i said ****...

But but but, excitmentville was the final destination!

As Atilla said, Shine is a replica company but they must be compared to others in their line. Try to compare shine to Extreme dimensions, bodykitz.com, VIS, etc... Also, with RE to the side skirts, you are supposed to remove the black piece from the front.

Good to see some feedback but there's a reason shine seems to have rave reviews from multiple forums with very little negatives.

yeah wont argue with you guys there, its is very evident that Shine is the best place to find "decent" replicas and for the price I cant complain too much if I have to fab up some stuff to make it fit,,,,

Why. only one of them fit...
And it was the second set that ended up fittting,,,
I figured at the time that they sent them to me because the first set didnt fit,,,
I dont know what good it would have done to send them back and say here ya go this set doesnt even come close to fitting,,,

you only paid for one set, they sent you two.
If it didn't fit, it was up to Shine to determine what they want to do with the extra parts, not you.

I don't know, I just would have take a completely different approach.
whatever, it's in the past.

it's not the ethics of Shine I was questioning.
They made a mistake, I would have at least given them the courtesy of a phone call to allow them to rectify that mistake.

didn't you buy side skirts from them? Aren't you perpetuating the cycle?

As for ME supporting companaies such as this...it's well knows my thoughts on replicas. Just look around for my posts on the subject.

I aggree with you about the Authentic vs Replica discussion, at the time I called Bulletproof then they contacted KSAuto(maker of Burnout) and they said that they were transitioning to a new mold setup and it wouldnt be ready for at least 6 months, then there was the 2-3 month wait for it to cross the ocean, I figured Id spend the $150 to see what the kit would look like and if I liked it and the rep craked or grew stress cracks in the paint over time I would order up the KS Auto version II's. Just one look at my VB Garage can show I love genuine/authentic parts, even though I sound like a hypocrit right now,,, Hell Im one of less than a handful with the genuine Burnout II front lip, and now they're everywhere...

A business is a business, regardless of what their primary market is. If a company is running under all current legal stipulations, it is not up to one to determine whether or not this company 'deserves' a certain product back. Hell, some companies would have asked for the first pair back, before giving you the second. That right there says something about the integrity of Shine as a business, they mailed you a second set of side skirts, seemingly hassle free!

As far as ethics of replicas I'd like to chime in:

A purpose and place for everything. Do you think those who purchase $500 replicas really have the $$ to dish out for a $2500 real deal? If they did, they wouldn't be purchasing the replica in the first place. I feel those who can truly afford or create means to get the authentic will. Certain individuals purchase replicas, realistically not because they are thinking to themselves, oh, this will save me $2000! but moreso because they are not in the position to dump loads of cash into their vehicle.

To reiterate, replica companies are not stealing business from authentic companies. They are profiting off of the designs but in the end, offering another tier to the aftermarket modifying scheme.

Recap? Yay for Shine for producing products that fill that bracket of the market, and for doing a good job at it

I'll get some for you. Indeed will look good, and even more if you have the OEM accent.

Not sure what would be going on with actual group buy or not. Fairly certain prices on front page are going to be the effective prices, but because Shine isn't a vendor I don't know if an official "group buy" will go down.

I hadn't aligned my hood before I took these pictures (had just taken off carbon hood), hence the gap between bumper but as you can see, the authentic FEED piece sits just like OEM! The Shine version will be produced of their hyrbid material and should be even easier to fit. Please keep in mind this is an out of box fitment, no work and it is absolutely excellent. Note the sidemarker/headlight area is perfection, and this is typically where bumpers have issues. Out of the box fitment = 99% oem fitment. I'll post similar pictures for you guys once I've got the Shine version of the bumper in my hands
