EVOstyle.com Chrome Turn Signal Bulbs!

Has anyone else purchased chrome turn signal bulbs from these guys?

A buddy of mine said the 350Z guys have been giving them rave reviews so I just ordered the set they have for the Rx8: http://www.evostyle.com/Merchant2/me...Category_Code=

Apparently, they (EVOstyle) are good with group buys, so if there is any interest, I'll inquire (after the "Ok" from admin).

I can't vouch for the quality, but you can get them cheaper at autolumination.com. The ones I got at autolumination are quite a bit dimmer than stock. And, the ones in my side marker glow a red color after extended use.

Yeah, dimness was one of my concerns (a la StealthAuto bulbs) but apparently these things are as bright as stock (according to the 350Z guys)....

I'll let you know when I get them.

absolute rip off...just a rename of sylvania's product probably (it happens all the time...stealthauto anyone?) listen to roberdot and go to autolumination.com or a few others like it that sell at wholesale prices...that bulb probably $2.50 a piece not $41 for 4

I'll let you know, for sure, but I thought $41 for 4 beats the hell out of Stealth Auto's price of $80 for 4.

I hated the autolumination.com ones so much I ended up throwing them away after repeated attempts to try and make them fit correctly. I had to shave and shave and shave the crappy bulb base and then it was so loose, one actually fell out.

I wouldn't have gotten the EVOstyle ones if I didn't hear to highly of them, but we'll see.

Perfection!

Wow, that was fast. I ordered them late Tuesday and got them today!

My review:
They were a perfect fit!
They are easily as bright as the stock bulbs and way higher quality than the autoillumination.com ones I ended up trashing.

Damn does it clean up the look of my 8.

I'm a happy man

It won't look like it does in "real life"... no use. If you want to spend the money, go for it. If not, get some LEDs.

I just found out my state (MN) allows white turn signals!...so I'll order a couple of bright white LEDs for the turns and then a couple leds for my gf's Mazda 3

besides the bright white matches my inner and side signal markers (will be same led array) which somewhat matches the HIDs

I'll try and post some pics when I get my digital camera back (being borrowed).
They do have a before/after of an RX-8 in their gallery: http://www.evostyle.com/gallery.htm

As for white blinking lights....uck. Last thing I want is to make my Rx-8 look ricey...

You've got it all wrong, buddy.

Asian≠ Ricey

Yes, it's an asian car, but you've got be able to separate the prolific subculture of the "ricers" from the blanket statement of "asian".

Just a humble suggestion:
Instead of the immediate and ongoing debate this thread is looking to be, why not simply post pics of both installed EvoStyle Bulbs as well as White LED's (Front and Rear, if possible!) and everyone can benefit from this as well as be the judge of what fits their tastes & state laws?

P.S. - trumagellan is right about the hot asian girl vibe the RX gives off... finally what I always meant to say but never had the words to! :D

Whatever....

If you want to stay legal (except in MN) and have your car look clean (and damn styling!), go with the Evostyle.com bulbs.

If you want to risk Office Jerkoff deciding he wants to pull you over (except in MN), and making your car look cheapy like all the ricers with their white and blue flashing bulbs, go with the those.

You can tell right away when someone puts on their blinker. If it's white or blue, it's usually someone that is on the ricey-side of things.

But, like I said, whatever...

BTW, the "hot asian girl" analogy is right on!

you guys are funny...yes I'm from minnesota and I never see white turn signals so I guess I didn't know they were 'ricey' but then again I don't really understand 'ricey' that well either since virtually no one does anything but stock on any car here (besids KG of course )

I don't think colored lights are always ricey. It depends on how it looks on the car and what the intentions were of the owner. Rice is NOT a trend (otherwise EVERYTHING cool would be rice, as well as everything stupid). It is a state of mind.

And from seeing it, the '8 looks good with clean white turn signals.

No one is claiming the white lights add HP/performance, and it isn't stupid to have white lights (as long as it obeys laws).

It would be difficult if not impossible to take a good picture of a blinking turn signal...
