Anyone know of a place that makes custom chrome emblems?
Hey everyone,
I'm trying to find out if anyone knows of a place that makes custom chrome car emblems, or even a place that chrome plates parts you send them? I wanted to make a chrome Transformers symbol for my RX-8 but I can't seem to find a place that does that kind of work.
Thanks!

Or your local machine shop...if they have CNC mills, you can even design it yourself in autoCAD and maybe save a few bucks. Polishing it yourself might also save you a few bucks, unless you don't already have a Dremel and accessories.

As for meeting up, sure, I just need to find some time out of work when I'm not ready to bolt home! I'll PM you later on.
Another option, if the one listed here doesn't work out, is to find a sign shop that does vinyl dooming. They have a material that looks just like chrome and the dooming process makes it 3D (as opposed to vinyl being flat and 2D). Certinaly not metal, but it would bend for installation if that's important. They can do anything you can photoshop up!
Well the guy at Alba's said he only chromes metal and you have to bring the part in yourself so that's out unfortunately. I'll look into the machine shop or sign shop to see if I have some other options.
Thanks guys and keep the suggestions coming!

There are tons on machine shops along Brittmoore if you're out on the westside of Houston. My fiance's dad used to work at one. I'm sure he can give you some insight, if I get the chance to talk to him.

Hey shelleys_man_06, I found a couple of shops that advertise custom sign design (including autos) but pardon my ignorance - what would I search under when looking machine shops? Trying to do that under the Yellow Pages brings up a variety of stuff- mostly manufacturers of pipes, etc... Is that what I should be looking for?
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
