Paintless Dent Removal Time. Do you PDR?

About every 18 months or so I have my paintless dent removal guy swing by and take out the little dings that accumulate.

I'm wondering how many other people do something like this.

I look at it like this:

1. It's inexpensive compared to anything else
2. you cannot tell there was ever a dent there
3. something about a door ding get's my blood boiling so once i hit 3-4 (about what i get in the avg year and a half time frame) I ring him up
4. when i see dings all over cars I just instantly assume "too bad, that guy/gal doesn't care about their car"

Am I the only one who's this **** about dings?

PS Being the 8club I know I'm not but let's see who, if anyone, posts.

edited to remove my noobishness, paintless dent removal, not dentless paint removal

door dings drive me INSANE on my cars so I've had a PDR guy come out 3 or 4 times over the years.

Most recently just a few weeks ago to work on a ding on the rear door and one in the fender that's been driving me nuts for some time.
No matter how careful some of us are, it's inevitable that some idiot is going to inflict some kind of damage to your car and being the douche that they are, they'll just walk away and not tell you so till the day that trend comes to an end, I'll keep my PDR guy's name in my phone.

Here's a pic I snapped when he was last working on the 8. (had him take 2 dings out of the Bimmer that same day as well)

Laythor: as you said, it's pretty damn cheap to have the dents taken out, no one knows they were ever there and yeah, vanity does come into play but I've always been that way about my vehicles.
IMO, there is a direct correlation between how a person cares for their vehicle and how they live their lives.

That's exactly how I feel. How much does PDR cost/dent?
I've been wanting to try it...

cost can vary but I've seen prices anywhere from $35 - $150 per dent. Obviously those range from a dent the size of a dime to something caused by a softball.
Also depends on how far they have to drive to come out to your location, whether you're going to them, etc.

I'd ask around, odds are someone in your area has used a PDR service and can recommend you to them.

Speaking of which: if anyone in SoCal needs a guy, just let me know. The guy I use is awesome!

he ended up finding a total of 7 dents, bill came out to 250. They usually have a per panel charge but since i've used him so often i get a frequent flyer discount.

damn man, stop parking so close to the driving range.
Glad your guy hooked you up with the frequent flier miles discount. That's a good price for 7 dents

yeah.. those dents seem to breed once a single one finds its way onto the car. In my defense the biggest dent was maybe the size of a dime and most under pea size. It's just the fact I knew most of them were there and my eyes would fall to them anytime I was looking at the car.

Now she's smooth again, so i is happy camper

I have 6 dings that needs to be removed by PDR. Two on the hood, one on the left fender (barely noticeable but I am ****), one on driver side door, and two on passenger side. I got quoted $800 from the only shop I can find within a reasonable distance (<2 hour drive). The shop look very shady too, hence the reason I decided to wait. It sucks living in NYC with anything more than a semi-decent car .

The dings have been bothering me for over a year. Not once have I driven my 8 without being annoyed by the 6 little dings. Ever since I got the 8, I always drive it only when I know I can park it at someones driveway or a HUGE and possibly empty parking lot; never street parked. Hence the reason that this year I have only put 300 miles on it .
