For 130 they are probably filling the hole in with plastascine and painting over it with water colour paint

Been thinking about debadging but I would leave the Mazda logos, front and back, and waste the "Mazda" and "RX-8" doodads. I like the logo design.

The car just looks a lot cleaner without the badging. Most cars just look a lot cleaner without big blocky chunks of plastic text on them. Kind of like how the G35 coupe looks SO much better when you remove the "Infiniti" text from the back...the look is so much cleaner/sleeker.

The RX-8 is especially extreme since it has the "Mazda" text, Mazda logo, and car name...that's a lot of badges cluttering up the rear of a pretty sleek car. If anything, I'd really like to remove the super-chunky "Mazda" text (with the logo, it's redundant and at least the logo is something that's stylized/attractive), but apparently the "RX-8" badge is the only badge that's a stick on. I'd love to remove both of the text badges and just leave the logos.

I'd have to think about about the ~$500 cost for a little while though. Maybe I'll do it for later if/when I get more paintwork done. I don't know why, but this car has been some sort of road hazard magnet during my first few weeks of ownership. In the past two weeks I've had unknown bits of debris hit me from the sides and leave scratches in the paint near the middle of both doors. The first one is small, but kind of deep/rough, but some touch up might take care of it. I was cruising on the highway with absolutely nothing in front of me when I suddenly heard a smack on my passenger door as I was passing by a car. I'm guessing that car's front wheel must have kicked something up, but I never saw what hit me. Then another night I was driving and suddenly heard a slight thud on my driver's side...later I discover a long, light scratch on that door as well. At least the second scratch can probably be buffed out. Really bizarre luck...

the RX8 badge has NO holes, the Mazda badge has 3 holes and the 'flyin M' has 2 holes.

Right now mine just has the 'flyin M'

the car looks much cleaner now....the trunk is so small that all those bages clutter it up....not to mention the fact that I hate plastic chrome.

HAHA, very nice. Make it a single exhaust system through the rear accent.

Why debadge? Because it looks cleaner. The fact that they left holes in there makes you think that they are desperate for name recognition. You can't remove the Mazda name or symbol only the model. F them in the A. Goog way to steer modders away from this cheap *** car.
