i'm new to this website, and i just got my rx8 last fall. i love it....but i get on here, and see some of your cars, and it makes my grey one look pretty dull lol. so i was wondering, how much would it cost to get a custom paint job done on it? would it be possible to do it myself?

If you don't have previous paint / body shop experience, I would highly recommend you leave that up to a shop.

that's an option that i would consider.....also getting the hood a different color. i'm not really sure.

 

on a stock body RX-8, I don't think that would look good but it's up to you. Call some shops around your area and see if they can get you some quotes.
Either that or ask in your regional subforum, maybe someone can give you a referral to a local shop

 

^ What Jedi said. But honestly, going to a shop isn't cheap and kinda looks tacky on stock Rx-8s.
Instead, get an aero package or a Mazdaspeed bodykit and call it a day.
