Clear Corners Flare Out?
Does anyone have a close up picture, or can someone possibly explain what I read in another post - the clear corners are not flush like the OEM lenses and they flare out a little. I can't imagine where they would flare out since the OEMs are perfectly flush.

Thanks for the pics. My concern was that they flared out more in the front or rear of the lens. From the pics I can see it flares out in the middle. That's cool. Where did you get yours? Did you install the stealth bulbs? Also did you remove that foil that I heard people have removed because it looks better? Sorry for all the ??, but I like to do my homework before I add cosmetic cahnges. I love the way the car looks already.

There is a DIY somewhere here on the forum that explains how to do that install. I always thought that those particular clear corners were not flush because they were "aftermarket", and not Mazda-factory parts.
I cannot confirm, but I always assumed that the Japan-spec 8's had flush clear corners.

No problem man. I got mine from rotaryextreme.com for $75 w/stealth bulbs. Then I got tired of the orange so I switched to the 5 led bulbs from ctlumination.com and yes I did remove the foil piece. It was a pain but well worth it. Hope that helps!

Yes, all after market clear corners flare out exactly like the pics.

Well if you leave it in it keeps all the light to the front of the side marker. Most people take it out because then it fills up the whole side marker with light and looks better. It is all personal preference.

Where the air is rare
I just installed the JDM clear corners with Mazda part numbers, and they have the same flare to them. Why? I dunno. They really look nice though. I used LED amber bulbs, and popped out the reflector nonsense inside, too.

when websites say a "harness" is included with the clear corners, what does a harness mean??? And when u install the clear corners, do u have to remove the inside wheel fender, or is there a easier way like just popping the clear corner out with flathead???

You don't need a harness, you can use the factory one. Just remove, I think it is, three screws from the fender well, the one from the side marker lens, pop out the lens, remove the bulb/disconnect harness. Then attach the bulb/harness to the new lens and reverse the process. Really only takes 5 mins if you don't remove the reflector inside. If you descide you want to remove the reflector do it in the house before you start. Hope that helps!
