Bulb replacements are size 194 if you like... but most I think are using the stock bulbs which are kinda "cream" colored when on. Some are using stealth (chromed) amber, and some like me are using hyper-white.

I am using a 194 LED amber colored lamps in mine. Check your local laws, most have a requirement of amber for the front side markers and red for the rear side markers. Then again, the law isn't everyone's concern when it comes to cars, it just becomes a concern when you meet an overzealous officer who wants to be nit picky and come up to your car and says "Boy, you in a heap of trouble there, son." :D

I used black lights in mine for a while, but I figured that was giving me too much attention, especially with the airborne speeding patrol we've had lately, I switch to amber, but probably will go with hyperwhite if I think of it while I'm out sometime.

If the cop wants to be real nit-picky, in some states clear corners are illegal.

Not TN, as long as they aren't red or blue, they are legal.

Some states require that they reflect amber.

This is actually true in all states. It is a DOT requirement. I did a search one time and read the whole DOT regs because I was wondering about the legality of the third brake light logo mask I make and it is just barely legal. They state just how many square inches of light must show at what intensity and from what angle.

Now that's nit-picky. :D

from Revised Statutes of Missouri

Cowl, fender, running board and backup lamps--violation, penalty.

307.085. 1. Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two side cowl or fender lamps which shall emit a white or yellow light without glare. Any motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than one running board courtesy lamp on each side thereof which shall emit a white or yellow light without glare. Any motor vehicle may be equipped with a backup lamp either separately or in combination with another lamp; except that no such backup lamp shall be continuously lighted when the motor vehicle is in forward motion.
How does that work if the state law specifically allows them?

hey Omicron,
I don't think the turn signals are 194, I just pulled out my rear turn signals and I think they are the 7440. Is it the same up-front? Where are the 194's?

I was thinking about putting in hyper white, but it looks really "ricey", do those chrome stealthy bulbs flash orange???

The turn signals are 7440s. The side marker lights that this thread is referring to (Clear Corners) are 194s. The Stop and Brake light lamps are 7443s.

The chrome stealthy bulbs are very dim and hard to see during the day. You might want to check out amber LEDs.

Hyper whites for TURN signals are definitely illegal everywhere.

BTW is there any reason clears are so expensive? Production costs MUST be minimal. Anyone know of a good, reasonable supplier?

I paid $70 for the set awhile back. I hear they are cheaper now. You might want to check the DIY forum for the install, and how to remove the reflector in them. You might also want to look into getting some amber bulbs, as white side markers are illegal in CA (if memory serves).
