Yeah I wish I knew it was possible and or not needed to have the harness. At least we wont run into that one again. Some people recieved refunds on the spot due to excepting the winkers without bulbs or harnesses.
Well good luck with them everyone.

Question about installing the clear corners
For those who installed the clear corners from jt-imports: I was wondering if you need to buy the whole assembly with the harness, or just the clear lens.
They are offering three versions: with harness, without harness and lens only. I wonder what's the best way to go.
Here is the link:

Of course the lens alone is cheaper... did anyone of you get just the lens and can tell me about any problems while installing them?
Thanks!

You just need the lenses.

Installed clear side markers -- WOW!
I got my clear side markers from JT-Imports yesterday and installed them last night. I knew they'd improve the appearance, but I had no idea it would be that dramatic!
The clear markers look FANTASTIC on my Titanium Gray 8! It should have come with them.

Still waiting for my order too. If we did a swap, we'd both be without sidemarkers for however long they took to cross half the world. I'd rather get the old ones off someone whos already done a replacement, and fit them when I get chance. After that you'd be welcom to my clear set.
Any how clear markers or not, I envy you being able to take your new RX8 for a blast around the twisties on route 1. I was in SF this time last year and the weather was gorgeous. Here in the UK, the clocks have just come off day light savings, so its dark, cold and raining and really not the weather to enjoy a new car.
Cheers

Ummmm... I think the reason we don't get clear corneres as stock in the US is because so many states (if not all) have outlawed them. In Indiana, the law requires Amber reflectors at the front corners... not just light up amber, but reflect amber.

But I agree with you - even if there is any ONE state that outlaws clear markers, Mazda USA will import the ONE version which is OK everywhere - and since amber is not outlawed anywhere, they certainly go with that.
Kinda sucks of course because that pumpkin color is ugly on all but maybe on red and perhaps yellow cars.

now whether the cops will pull you over just because you have clear markers is a different story. mostly likely the cop will just add the citation onto something bigger (like speeding, etc.).
