Installed clear markers
I received mine. It took about one week. They are easy to install. I looked in the owner's manual to find out how to access the bulbs. Turn the wheels to gain access to the wheel wells. There are approx. 5 plastic 1/4 turn Philips screws to remove. The top screw is a little tricky because you have to apply pressure to the outer ring to keep the whole assembly from spinning. Once the screws are removed, pull back the wheel well plastic a little bit to gain access to the one screw that keeps the light assembly in place. Remove the screw with either a Philips screwdriver or a nut driver (not sure what size). Pull the side of the light nearest the wheel well. A plastic tab keeps it held in. Then just slide the light assembly towards the wheel well.
The clear light assemblys come with a light cable and orange lamp. I found it is easier to to not install the new cable. Just swamp lamps.

Did anyone use the harness?
I was just curious, these were being sold as an assy from
Mazda, but I can see if we can get it from them without the
harness, and if possible we might just do that for the future
damn that sucks..

So many roads to ride...
BLiNkEr CoLoRs
I've seen some pics of the 8 with orange Blinkers on the front quarter panel, and others with white Blinkers......What comes standard on the car in the US? Why the variable?

Blinker colors
Orange in the US, clear in Europe. You can buy the clear ones to make your car look more "European".....personally I like mine just the way it came from the factory.

SWEET Lookin' 8...I dig the clear lights....tell me about the strakes......polished or brushed aluminum.....what's available and do they install easily?

Be aware that you can buy the clear side markers to replace your yellow markers, however when you do this, you must replace the clear bulb with a yellow bulb. It is the law that states your side turn signals must be yellow. So clear side marker = yellow bulb. Yellow side marker = clear bulb.

BTW, those aren't blinkers... they're side markers, they don't blink. The blinkers are in the headlight assembly and use amber bulbs.
As for the state laws, I checked here in IN, and the law speaks about the color reflected from the lense as well, so I'm a bit hesitant to get the clear corners, although I do want them.
If I do go ahead and get them, I'm planning to put in some chrome/silver coated amber bulbs (stealth type).

Clear Winker Set @ JT-Imports
has anyone actually bought the clear winker set from JT-Imports i realize now they have 3 options. One with the harness the other without and one just the plain winkers. Would it still install and fit in as good without the harness? How much of a difference does the harness make? Last how long did it usually take to get them shipped?

At least 15 forum members, myself included, bought from Jt-Imports. We received the sidemarker, harness and yellow bulb. I found it easier to install by using the original harness and just replaced the bulb and sidemarker.
Goto jt-imports.com and send them an email, I'm sure Jason will return your replies.

Re: Clear Winker Set @ JT-Imports
I bought the harnessless ones from JT-Imports. I received them yesterday (it took about a week for them to ship) and installed them in about 10min. I bought 194NA amber bulbs from a local auto supply shop for less than $4, and just popped em in. Piece o' cake.

jt didn't always have 3 options, they do know because most people didn't use the harness and bulb.
If I bought it again I would save the cash and just get the sidemark with no harness or bulb

I got lucky... Jason had 10 units w/o the harness and offered me one + $30 refund. It worked out perfectly for both of us, as I wasn't planning on using the harness anyways.
