Car Cover fit with rear spoiler

I'm thinking of getting a car cover and rear spoiler with my $500. Does the car cover still fit with the rear spoiler? Was the cover designed for cars with the spoiler, or without, or maybe somewhere in between?

Hi Bob, I can't answer for certain because I don't have the spoiler but the Mazda RX-8 Car cover currently fits pretty tight!!

i have the rx8 car cover, uhm, i suppose if you get the lip spoiler you could fit the car cover on...anything else, i seriously doubt. that cover is SNUG, and by SNUG i mean tighter than a 14 year old training bra.

i was considering getting a spoiler, but...there's just no way with the rx-8 cover. unless you know a tailor perhaps? the cover is so snug, it's actually difficult to take the front of the cover off before the back of the car. much easier to put the back on last, take it off first etc, as opposed to a cover that would slide off in a 10mph breeze.

Wink

Yes, the car cover was designed to fit both the car with and without the rear wing spoiler.

Designed maybe but I have to agree with lefuton, the car-cover is darn tight right now. I don't have the rear wing but do have the appearance package and my cover is pulled extremely tight over the car. But maybe it's possible...

Thanks for the info. I think I'll get the cover first, and then put something under the back to simulate the spoiler.

do you mean the spoiler (little flap), the wing (ugly non-functional loop thing), or both??

Hold on a minute...

I think if you try and order one right now, you will find that the car cavers are on temporary hold due to a design change. My guess is...they forgat the spoiler ( the big wingded thing) like on my car.

Bob, you should probably hold-off, this makes sense to me including my own practical experience using the car cover without the wing.

Well, I didn't really care for the 2-color covers, so last nite I ordered an Evolution 4 cover from AutoAnything.com. I'll see how it fits before ordering a rear spoiler.
