I have terrible news yuesterday in the NY tristate area there was a terrible storm here is my story of it...

I was doing less than 10 mph behind an FJ crusier the LAKE was a lil diceptive though didnt look that deep but I got behind the truck anyway so he could barrel us through it.

Next thing I knew the water level was up to my hood all I kept thinking about was my motoring going to the ***** or an electrical short. Finally got through the Lake of 17 (route 17 in NJ - E. Rutherford, NJ) and I see smoke coming from my front end Im thinking **** either the oil coolers or the radiator went to *****...I pull over only to see a fraction of my front lip still attached the the bracing from the hide away license plate. So in the rain while it thundering and lightening cars swirving while I was working on the car - NOT FUN. So I called Chris incase I got ran over at least someone would've known.

My oem bumper obtained some damaged which Im pissed cause at least I couldve stayed on it for a while - no wmy front end looks like crap....8o(

No Longer the BURNOUT of the EAST....sighs....

Sorry to hear it bro master. That was a nice looking kit too...I wonder why the hell it came off? Was the kit only held on by 3M tape or something? I hope not. :/

Also, did your car survive or did you need new anything because of the water?

 

lip is trashed, bumper and undertray are tweaked and the bumper also seems off a bit......it was held on with 2 screws and 3m tape

 

That succckkksss big time.... ^^^^ but cant blame the 3M tape and 2 mountining backets it is a a lip not a hydroplane afterall.... sorry to here Klepto your car had just recieved those engine bay accents so nicely tooo....

Im sure by now you must of seen the banner on my front...well I have a spare one (I've been holing out"....I won't be needing it. It is the same as what I currently have on only differance is the the letter are black w/white out like....basically what I have just inverted. They are the only 2 banners in the states. I am looking to sell it. They were digitally printed so no flaws.

Im looking for about $40 + shipping....anyone interested PM Im not gonna do a for sale sign cause only burnout owners would want it anyway...

I may also sell my JDM badge I waited 3 months for that was ordered through bulletproofautomotive. Not sure yet...but stay tuned for that as well.

hey burnout kit owners... i have had my 8 for almost a year now and i think its time for an upgrade from the appearance package. and i finally decided to go with the burnout lip kit. so sorry for sounding like a noob but can you guys point in the direction to get a good price on the whole burnout lip kit? i have seen a lot of websites that have the knock offs but dont really wanna deal with bad fitment issues... so any help would be nice. thanks in advance.

thats a good idea. the only vendor that i really checked out was japanparts and i was just checking around for the prices.

has anyone gotten any of the replica lips and if so it would be great to hear some of the experiences with fitment and prices and where they got it from.
