Looks a bit busy for me, but still looks good! Also, looks much better than the SEMA one...instead of looking at the grill, you're drawn to the crossbars behind it that support it. Too bad they couldn't do the fog lights as well...they look lonely.

I was thinking this would be a good look and could be done with a bit of work.

This was the one at last year's SEMA show. Best grille treatment I've seen on an RX-8 yet. Pulls the whole front end together. Unfortunately, this one was built as a "one-off."

That where I got the original from, however, I photo chopped this one, added two additional billets and added my patented fog ligh accent strakes that will soon be available. In about a month, I am going to custom make one of the billet grilles as pictured for another forum member. It will have the original frame, minus the plastic grille work, and have billets that will protrude to the front of the nose and the rear will have a screening attached at the bottom with the appropriate blocking so as not to see that nice white foam that is behind the top of the grile. There will be 3 - 1" pvc tubes that will support the rear and keep these billets lined up and in place. The sides will be connected to these billets to keep them in place. Total cost for materials should cost approximately $25 not including a stock grille, of course. This project will be labor intensive and probably take several hours work to accomplish. The billets will be made from acrylic plastic for this particular job. They will be painted apropriately and clear coated with 3 - 4 coats. I am toying with the idea of using the wheel trim that some have used earlier in this thread as the front most edging. This stuff does stick really well as I have used some recently for a billet look on the rear that davis did on his.
