Round 3 - Debadge & Billet Grille / brothervoodoo
Okay, here's my next picture installment. Got my car today after debadging and went and did a variation of the billet grille.

brothervoodoo, it looks great! But I must admit , I really like WHealy's version. Anybody have a rear RX-8 badge they want to sell?

I think that looks cool. Although I must admit I would consider this option...

brothervoodoo,
You da man with the vision that pulled this off. I was just making an observation. I think it looks great.
Can you share any details on how you setup the picture. I've never taken a good low light shot of any of my cars. There is a parking lot with this huge blue company sign facing that puts out a blue hue. Thought that might look good if I can squeeze in a sunset/sunrise. But I'd like to know more about the lighting and stuff here. The shot looks awsome.

I think it looks great. But 1 thing to consider... you went to all that trouble and expense to debadge the car... are you SURE you want the "RX 8" emblem on the front? Looks good, but kind of negates all the debadging.

The whole debadge, filling holes and repainting cost 5 bills. You can remove the "RX-8" yourself with a hairdryer and dental floss because that emblem leaves no holes behind.

How about a pic from a higher angle. I think that bottom piece may look better straight than curved.

Wow, wtf is with all the rice on this board? People, this isn't a Ford F-150, billet grills belong on trucks, not RX-8's. Ugly as hell. Wouldn't you rather be spending money on something that would improve performance? Coilovers maybe?(probably lowering springs in your case). Just being honest.

I don't think they called it that back in the 50's, where this type of customization started.
Personally, I've never debadged a car. I do have a 64 Corvette that when purchased used in 1980, had already been debadged by the previous owner. I have considered rebadging her, but never spent the money yet.
VooDoo, the grille treatment with inclusion of the logo is sharp! Not sure if it would look as good on any other color than yours. I for one look forward to seeing what others choose to try to make their fine ride even finer.
