I live 1kim south of Detroit in Windsor. I have a studio 1/2 mile north of Detroit in Ferndale. I'm a North American citizen. I am enjoying the failing GreenBack!:boink:

Bigbacon 05-26-2010 06:27 AM

be warned.... they break pretty easily. My first one lasted about 6 months. I bought another one and just never installed the front plate again. Still sitting behind the drivers seat.

I also had to buy longer screws as the ones on the car were not long enough to screw back in after the holder was there.

I also suggest putting some weather stripping or something behind the plate as there is a decent chance the plate will start knocking off the bumper and leave you without paint.

Got busted yesterday for no plate this product was a perfect fit and looks good thanks for the info

Here is a pic of my car with the Bell kit on my MS bumper. I went in the passenger side opening. I have a 4 port auto so I don't have an oil cooler on that side. I was afraid of scraping with the lower configuration because my MS bumper already scrapes sometimes.

Looks great, it is a bit tilted to the right, I did the exact same thing, easy adjustment. fyi, put a strip of doublesided tape (the spongey type) on the back of your plate to avoid scratching/engraving of your bumper.

I want one!

Dang I was going to buy one of these this weekend until i re-read the ordinance for method of displaying license plates in Missouri "...on the front and rear of such vehicles not less than 8 nor more than 48 inches above the ground" I'm guessing this relocates it to less than 8 inches off the ground.

I went to the website posted on the first page and it says they dont carry this anymore is there anywhere else to get it?

Edit: it seems that it is still carried I guess their website just crapped out on me last time.

I got the bracket but the plate was 2 inches lower than the front, so it was scraping everywhere.

So, to fix that, I went to Lowes and got two of these corner braces:

The braces get attached to the front bumper using the screws that come with the bracket. Then the bracket get attached to the other end of the braces using the bolts and nuts that also come with the bracket, like so:

Just to let anyone with the bell relocater know that it rusts very easy.
I highly suggest to spray some fluid film or other high quality oil/grease.
My second one is in much better shape now it has been sprayed, it works way better than paint.

This is pretty nice. Looks simular to what we have to do to the Harleys if you don't want the plate in the middle; you see it a lot on bikes.
Knowing what we know now, I will buy a seperate set of screws so they don't rust.

Wow, this is the exact bracket I ended up buying since I just moved to VA where I need a front plate.

I used this bracket with the 2 OEM lower lip screws without any problem. I also have a steep driveway, but I don't scrape as long as I don't do 15mph into the drive.

Are these still available? and if they are is this it?

RotaryBoi 12-14-2011 04:36 PM

Yes they are, and yes it is. However, they're only $8.99 at most Autozones. Keep that in mind if you have to pay shipping...
