Then why did you ask this?
when is the aluminum gas cap going to be available

Also I guess where you will buy yours at least. Watch out for taxes, Shipping and fees hehe

Also no one every even asked if I can get it any cheaper, kind of makes me laugh. I have people everyday that price talk with me then those that take the price off the webpage as a Gospol, sometimes it is, usually its not. Depends on how the month is doing, yen rate, good mood, and how many packages are shipping in that time frame.

I sell I think 1/4 of the parts I sell, that ARE NOT even on our webpage hehe I guess since there isnt a price, we cant sell it?

Hope it doesnt sound like I being a dick or something, but I have heard nothing but B|#"'&ing and complaining on prices, in all the forums I visit, I hear more complaints here about prices for all the vendors. Dont forget this is MAZDA we are talking about. If you want a Honda or Toyota get one, their OEM parts are VERY CHEAP usually.

Chrome/silver fuel door??

I've seen them on some Eclipses running around, i think with the right body color, it could definitely enhance the look without gettin stupid-pimp or ricey.

HAs anyone seen any?

i wouldn't do it to an 8...it'll look out of place, and why add chrome to the car when it really has none unless you add chrome rims which i wouldn't like on the 8..just my .02

I have one on my Miata (2001 BRG SE) and I think it looks sharp. I've seen pictures on the '8 and am planning on getting one. I personally like the look, and think the stock one looks out of place. YMMV.

I think the OEM fuel lid only comes in brushed aluminum finish. I think the fuel lid will only work with certain of the colours on the 8. IMO, unlike MX-5, which has a sporty design overall (especially NA model) it can take on a lot of body add-ons. Whereas the RX-8 design seems more moden and the overall design package is more tight, you'll need add-ons to be very well made to blend into the stylin, otherwise it will look like one of those honda's ricey stuck-on.

Personally, I like the fuel lid as well, but would like to see one in the flesh to know if I'll get it.

I was originally thinking about getting the polished alum. fuel door, but the more I think about it, the less I want it. It's just too much. I do still want the polished alum. wheels, though.

On my black 8, with clear corners, stealth signals, and strakes... yah.

It comes in Brushed Aluminum or Polished aluminum.

Both I think look pretty sharp. I never did it to my FD as the car is old and doesnt fit the whole EUROPEAN look, but the 8 does.

I bought one from Japan - I have a silver rx8. It is has a polished finish, and looks quite decent. I certainly do not believe it gives a ricer look - but perhaps adds style.

From Jason at jt-imports, made a deal, and got it for less than 235.

Hard to say if chrome will look good on the silver - but I have done enough photowork to make me think it will be a good exterior option.

Adds 10 hp you know...:-) j/k

any pics of brushed aluminum vs. polished aluminum to get a better idea.

I've got blue and wonder which one would work best.

Thanks mikeb! Im thinking about buying the polished aluminum for my silver 8, but unsure. What do you all think? To those of you who have bought already, would someone post pics, please? If by chance I do purchase and I dont like it when I get it will jt let you return it?

edit: What is the quality like? It's not cheap and flimsy is it?
