I had bad luck replacing the fog lights with bubs from autoillumination. i had 3 fog lights burn out last year alone. Since switching to the Piaas, I havent had aproblem. it may be a coincidence, but it also may be a case of you get what you pay for

Do a search for Velocity LED on eBay they hold up better than the autolumination bulbs.

for the vanity mirror lights i found dome light bulbs that are 8mm wide and 28 mm long... i was wondering if this would fit.. apparently the stock bulb is 6mm x 30 mm... can the somewhat fatter and and shorter bulb be shoved in and work?

You probably need resistors on the bulbs.

You need at least one resistor (or bulb) on at least one of the 3 rear lights.
You can put the LED back in the third brakelite, just go to Autozone and buy a ceramic resistor thing for LED lights and stick it on one of em.

Do a search on this, you will find other posts from me about this.

-C

p.s. and yes, you will need 4 resistors, one for each turn signal to make those work right.

got 2 of the 194 HID White to try it out in my front parking light.

After about 2 months of use, 1 of them are about to die (keeps on flashing)

I got them from v-leds.com

hmm .... thinking to get PIAA. Cost 10 times the amount. but I guess you get what you paid for

What kind of LED's do you guys use in your clear corners? I have gone through 3 sets of LED's from RX8Strakes.com! I opened up my box to put in a new LED that was flickering in my right clear corner and the 1st bulb that I put in didnt even work, then the second bulb I used the color seems alittle off on the tiny LEDS that make up the bulb.

So I need some help..

Where can I get the best quality LED bulbs for my clear corners? Price isnt an issue because I just spent $60 on LEDs that I have to change every month or two.

Please help, this shouldnt be happening!

Can you guys post up some links to where I can quickly purchase the LED's..that would be great!

Thanks!

Jeff

You need somesort of resistor for some LED bulbs. You just cannot put a 194 into the signalling bulbs straight on. Some LED has in built resistors and they are specific for the signal bulb and they will be fine then.

I really like the high power flank LED bulbs.

It makes the side marker signal mod work better for those folks that can't see you signalling from the side.

Adding a resistor to each side should lengthen the life of your bulbs considerably.

Another thing that can make a difference is if you are not totally switched over to LED.

Is this correct?
I thought the 9005 and H9 bulbs worked in the high beams????????

Update:
According to Daniel Sterns lighting page H9 does not equal 9005

Shameless plug cos I think my lights look hot

Aftermarket HIDs in H7, clear corners with:

1) Stock bulbs
2) Polarg Super-whites
3) Hoen LEDs
