#@$%!!! swiped my rear bumper....
...Luckily, it's just the ******* ****** * * ********* *****'s paint on mine.. should be easy enough to take off, right? What would the experts recommend I do? Just bought the car, so I really don't have any money for body work. I have the feeling a rubbing compound, and some Zaino and I should be back in business no?

It was there when I came back to my car from the beach. My insurance deductible is much higher than the damage can actually be... i'll post pix after work today. I do have uninsured coverage, but I have the feeling it'll be far less than the deductible. It looks like it'd be an hour labor at a body shop. It literally is just someone's white paint, about 2 feet wide, and half a foot tall. I picked some off with my finger nail to make sure it wasn't damage to my body. It looks as though someone was parallel parking and started to swipe my bumper, caught it, put it in reverse, backed up, and then left without hitting me again.

If there's not damage to the vehicle, you should be able to buff it out.
I've also used stuff called 'goof off' (availabe @ hardware store) to remove paint transfer from other cars. The stuff is VERY potent but works great for removing stuff like this.
Just make sure not to leave it on very long and wax afterwards.

If its not through the paint then any standard car polish should remove the other paint. Takes a bit of elbow grease but will get there and not risk damaging your paint.

I agree with orbist, trying polishing it out with a mild abrasive. Start with a polish or cleaner wax and give it a good rubbing. If that doesn't get it out, try a scratch remover like Meguire's Scratch-X. When you're done, put a good coat of wax back on.
