Just to let u know, matte black is awesome, but don't do it!!!
The problem is as soon as somebody brushes by it or rubs it, it gets polish marks and you cant clean it the way you can a clear coat. if you try to buff it, it makes it worse. A friend of mine just painted his miata matt black and same thing happened to him, and his dumbass works at a paint and body shop, so it did'nt cost him nothing to redo it.
Me and my boy that works at the same body shop just finished my car a couple weeks ago.
here ya go, got more pics, but dont feel like downsizing right now, these are just cell phone pics.

Yeah you don't need a paint code for matte or satin black, just tell them thats what you want.
Don't say I did'nt warn you! Take a lot of pics when it's first done, cause it's not gonna be like that for long.
I looooooove! satin and matte black it's just not practical for daily driver.

Both those vehciles (the 8 and ferrari) are wrapped in Vinyl. If you paint a car Matte black it will almost immediatly begin to have weird marks on it from different temps and just being touched. It will show everything so to get a good looking matte black finish you need to have it wrapped which costs about 4k. My father works in the printing business and he can sell me a roll (which will cover about 2 cars) for 1k but applying it truly is an art.

The decision is made...PEARL. Will start the spray on Monday afternoon. I am now going to order the clear side markers, black strakes, eyelids, but I can't find the JDM ones.(has anybody tried the ones from RX8 strakes?)..black not carbon and I still can't figure out what that little bulb is in the headlight. I want to change it to red.
I did have the guys go ahead and remove/finish the "mazda" and "rx-8" emblems from the rear lid. Now it will just have the mazda logo....what ya think about that move?

Get it straight.
