Finished Plasticx on my headlights

After hearing many folks talk about the PlasticX product, I went ahead and tried it on my headlights today. This stuff is amazing. I only did 3 scrub downs and the headlights look crystal clear again, save for the rock chips and such. I highly recommend this stuff for others with yellow or cloudy headlights.

This was before applying the PlaticX:

And this was after:

A buffer makes it easier.

I bought Plastx last week and used it on my headlights, which weren't as bad as yours (before), and I found it to be a bit disappointing. It worked well, don't get me wrong, but it wasn't the miracle product I was hoping for.

I think perhaps I didn't use enough? I don't know, I don't think it was lack of elbow grease as I had a nice blister to show for it once all was said and done. I think I'll go for a second application in the near future and try using a foam pad instead of the microfiber one I used at first.

if you use your hand you gotta burn the polish into the lens as if rubbing and buffing it like theres no tomorrow... but if you want an easy way out, just use a buffer like some people here. either way the outcome will be super nice.

Yup, it took me like 15 minutes to get mine clean (same look as the OP)...I've noticed that I have to go back and redo it every two months or so as the cloudiness returns a bit over time, but overall plastix worked really well for me.

I take a minute to rub it down with the polish every time after I wash the car so oxidation wont build up. Also I wont have to spend all that time redoing my headlights in the future.

when i turn the headlights on, i think i see dust inside the headlight assembly. dunno how dust gets in there, but i doubt plastic-x would work on that.

but, am happy to know it works on the outside stuff...
