Throttle tuning

I've done a bit of searching but can't find anything too concrete.

I'm using an accessport and accesstuner software and I'm looking to get a bit of the lag/bumpiness/sputtering out of first and second gear at low RPMs.

I want to be able to start with little (or at least not as much) pressure on the gas pedal.

I'm hoping someone can give me a little insight on the best/good parameters to get better throttle control/response.

I am just starting on that myself, I help with what I can. In the tuner software there should be a folder for throttle duty cycle, when you open that up it should have Duty cycle A,B,C,D then max duty cycle. The max duty cycle is just for how much your throttle body will max out at WOT (wide open throttle); for example if you have the max duty cycle set to 50% then the most your throttle body will open is 50% even if the pedal is to the floor. Now for the duty cycle A,B,C and D these are your gears A is for gear 1 to 2, B is for gear 3 to 4, C is for gear 5 to 6, and D is reverse, I think that's how it goes sorry if you come to find that that is wrong.

As far as getting better throttle response just start out at duty cycle A gear 1-2. I tend to start at 1k rpm and go through the table. my rx8 is an auto so the table stops at 7500 rpm. If you look closely you can see the 70% to 80% there is a huge gap between the cells it goes from 63ish to 83ish so that's where I stopped highlighting was at 70% cause there is no need to increase the 83% cells. ANYWAY I just slowly increased those values to get an overall better Throttle response.

For the sputtering and roughness I cant help much there, maybe if you notice some cells that aren't slowly increasing in value as if there is a "spike" in percentage, like if one cell is 40% aand the next jumps to 60% and then the next is back to 40% then just adjust the rouge cell to match the others around it.

If you notice no spikes in any of the throttle cells then you'll have to adjust your fuel tables to get smoother power.

LASTLY this is all I know for now, hope this will get you started!
