Might be worth mentioning that I've had to re-tune several turbo RX-8s that have passed his way recently, but that might just be a fluke.

 

what happened--i do understand he doesnt like the apv/injector set up we have?

 

I don't know what "happened" (if anything), but the owners had concerns with drivability, starting/stalling and bogging/detonation after the tuning sessions.
I just started from scratch since his calibrations are locked just as mine are.

Can he do a custom tune with a Cobb Accessport??

 

Yes, he has Cobb tuned many boosted RX-8's, including mine. But he doesn't typically do remote tunes.
