Steve Kan still tunes Rotary cars??? Figured he was having too much fun with Subarus.
All jokes aside, he's a great tuner to work with and definitely knows his way around our cars.

Might be worth mentioning that I've had to re-tune several turbo RX-8s that have passed his way recently, but that might just be a fluke.

I don't know what "happened" (if anything), but the owners had concerns with drivability, starting/stalling and bogging/detonation after the tuning sessions.
I just started from scratch since his calibrations are locked just as mine are.

ok--got ya. Thanks. Mine runs very well --i just want to pull a little timing. It probably will not be that simple--i do miss carburated engines at times.a

Can he do a custom tune with a Cobb Accessport??

Yes, he has Cobb tuned many boosted RX-8's, including mine. But he doesn't typically do remote tunes.
