Starting issues without Stage 1

I recently sent my Stage 1 in to be upgraded and am waiting for my appointment with the dealer to reflash my ECU to the "L" version. So my car is back to complete stock. Anyway, in the past week or so without the Stage 1 I've noticed my RX-8 going back to its "hard start" mode. I've never flooded my 8, but I take frequent short trips in it and I've had several starts that required alot of turn-overs. With the Stage 1, these "hard starts" almost completely disappeared. Now without it, I've already had 5 or 6. Well, I'll patiently wait for the shipment of Stage 1 and hope that it once again rids me of the "hard start" mode.

And yet another good reason to get the Stage 1. :D

"L" reflash!!! Read the latest TSB. If you are having flooding problems (and that's what hard starting is all about), the "L" flash is automatic if the dealer reads the TSB.

Oh, and that is what Maurice has experienced, though now with the "L" flash it has kinda gone away. His unit is left out sometimes for a few days at a time because we are still "messing" with it (getting Stage 3 ready for the "big time" . Putting in mods for automatic Lamdaboy logging.

I prefer riding with him without Stage 1 installed - it helps to reduce the effects of his heavy foot .
