stage 1 top speed

Anyone have any idea what the top speed would be with CZ stg 1, or 2?

PS - does CZ have a website up yet?

At a guess - 148 mph, and 148 mph. The engine PCM has a speed limiter that prevents the car from going faster, and I doubt the piggyback ECU mod overrides this.

Gordon

Canzoomer hasn't hit any speed limiter, and I think he has been above that. Without Stage 1. Stage 1 would increase max. speed about 10 km/hr, and Stage 2 perhaps 15 km/hr.

At those speeds air resistance is futile - err, wait, that's a movie.

Air resistance is very high, and "small" increases in HP result in small increases in speed.

I have taken a couple of max speed runs but always chickened out at about 250-260kmh.

As Gord commented somewhere around there the speed limiter is supposed to cut in, although I have not yet hit that point.

If I had more run room I could probably get a bit faster, but this is hard work on a car, and at that speed an acident is lethal.

So, no, I do not know the effect on top speed.

Probably faster, but I am chicken, and lacking a track with the room to find out.

Wow! 155-161 MPH is significantly faster than the suggested 148 MPH governed top speed.

I bet the car gets a little squirlly at that speed with the stock suspension. So take care at not becoming another statistic for the highway department.

WHEWW...I'm relieved. Instead of driving 148 to work I can drive 155 to 161.

Remember that figure is from the speedo.
I would guess it is about 10-15kmh optimistic at that speed.
So 250 is probably only really 235.

As for stability it felt good. Only point i do not like is at 165 where the front end gets a bit light. At 175kmh it seems to smooth out again.

I want a decent chin spoiler to deal with that.
