Stage 1 break-in/program

Is there a recommended time to allow the ECU to do it's thing on first install? Or just drop it n kick it!

I remember reading something about after removing or disconecting it to give a few miles to reprogram....?

yes?

Well, Canzoomer just drops it in his car and goes. We are just building a Stage 1 module tester, so for the first batch he used his car to comfirm they were ok. He's getting really good at swapping it in and out . I don't think the stock ECU even knows it's there.

oosik,

So how does it feel with the mod. Is there a noticable diff in FEEL in each gear? I only live a few miles from ya.

Don't have it yet, sorry if I gave that impression. I was just asking ahead of time.

Wondering if someone could clarify this issue. Is full power available immediately on installation, or is there a "learning period." It was mentioned that after removal for emissions testing, which shouldn't be necessary outside California, that a 15 minute driving period was recommended due to the ECU's "learning mode."

My butt dyno is not too accurate, but it seemed like I noticed some difference in sound/rev quality initially, but that full acceleration improvement took a few miles. Admittedly, I didn't have a clear road and distractions were many.

When do you expect yours? Did you get the order in before the 1st of the year? I have been told mine comes the 1st week in Feb. That prob means the 2nd or 3rd week. Don't matter though, I don't get home from the south pole till the 16th.

No idea. I'm part of the Prior-Jan 1st crowd, but he never contacted me about ordering it so I didn't get to ordering it until about a week and a half ago. I gather I won't see it until March, based on what I'm seeing posted here.

I'll be gone during the middle of Feb so maybe i'll get lucky and see it after that deployment.
