Order shipping

Has anyone else here who's placed an order had to wait a serious amount of time before getting their stuff? I placed an order for some parts, a month ago today actually and I keep getting told "you'll have'em in about 15 days" or "as soon as we get the parts" am I the only one having to sit and wait impatiently for my parts?

yes, my clear corners order got mixed up and they sent me 2 left sides. Canzoomer Jr. says the right side will be shipped out Monday. My original order was placed a month ago.

I am in the same exact boat, except I paid in full via paypal mid January.

The thing is this, this is a cutting edge (some say bleeding edge) technology. It is the first product of it's kind to market, and represents a serious effort. Maurice (who I dont know but have spoken with on one occasion) is battling a number of issues, including Mazda changing the ECU map twice already. Aside from all this there is the testing of each remap, as well as his improving his unit on both the hardware, and software - to make sure it all works and is fully upgradable by the consumer to level 2 and new level 1 maps in the future.

So yes, we are all waiting- and I belive I read here that the latest batch has begun to ship out.

This is a pretty huge task, and I think he has done an excellent job deliviering more power and making sure no ones engine blows. That is is main concern. The other thing causing delays I think is the fact that this is a plug and play unit- no splicing like other units that are appearing, and the wiring harnesses have to be made in CHina. I would not have bought this product if I had to splice into any electrical system. For the performance gain and the fact that the car can be easily returned fully to stock within 20 mins, I believe its worth the wait. If you want to cancel, I'm sure that would be fine, since there are proabably thousands of people (or at least orders) in line behind you that would love your unit.

No I didn't order the ECU. I ordered the clear corners, exhaust finishers and leather parking brake. I'm still having a bit of fun with the car stock I'll probably start tinkering around with the engine and such after I've had it for a year.

hey CZ,

can you let us know what's going on w/ our clear corners orders? I have been waiting over a month now.

you or CZ Jr. said the left side clear corners would be shipped out on Monday. Let me know if they are still coming or if I need to get my money back and order elsewhere. thanks

William

I suggest you get your loot back I cancelled my order and got the corners from ICB Motor Sport. They showed up at my door in two days. CZ isn't the only one with all the RX-8 Parts I've found them all somewhere else, that's just my suggestion though.

All the clear corners just arrived today (I was there). Will go out on Monday. Please keep in mind our prices are pretty low, so we don't stock too much stuff. We get it from Japan when we need it. We had a little mixup when we last ran low, and reordered late.

just wondering if anyone has a definite schedule or can tell me when they got / will get their Stage 1 that ordered late last year? I've tried emailing CZ jr, CZ, and searching for info in this area. I ordered quite late December. I'm also curious if any early VIN folks like me have Stage 1 or the K or L remap on their ECU?! thanks! Perhaps I should wait until "M" or "N" or until I can get "K" to install Stage 1 even if I should get it this summer?

I ordered end of Dec and rec'd the piggyback (date stamped on unit of 3/5/04) around 3/10/04 Fed Air. I am pretty sure all that CZ is shipping now is the "1.1" upgrade version, programable via his web site using your laptop.

Correct. All units shipped are the "new" Stage 1 hardware with the programming port and two leds on the front (progammable if you invest in the cable etc.). Also has a "tach" output for those who need it. It is also the same hardware as used in "Stage 2" (which really isn't a separate "stage" anymore, just a different tune of the box allowing for exhaust modifications).

Upgrades of the older models are done "free" - all you pay for is shipping. Nice deal as it takes us an hour or two to upgrade them along with $30 in parts (our cost).

We have a bunch of them finished and assigned to new owners waiting for shipment (as well as some "upgraded" ones), but Maurice wanted to wait until he sees what Mazda does with flash "M" before letting them out the door. Just in case we have to change the program. I think this will happen tomorrow.

Please be patient, as many of you have been up to now. We have managed to crank production output to nice levels, so you should all get your units without too much more of a wait.

Contact the office for more info. on upgrades please. I just do the electronics work.

There are lots of programming cables in stock now as well, for those of you wanting that capability. You need a computer with a USB port to use it. I think the cables are also available with an RS232 connector, if anyone still has a computer that old .

Your unit is built and ready.
We have about 25 units ready to go, but i hel off shipping htis week, so we canhave achance toe see what the new "M" flash does for things. I am getting this ECU flash tomorrow ( Thursday the 25th) and should know and be ready to ship these a couple of days after that. We should be shipping yours and a pile of other ones Monday.

We have been through 4 ECU flashes from Mazda in 2 months, and it is taking a heck of a lot of work to test and verify with each of these.

Right now we are using a rather "generic" map that is safe with all the flash versions, but I am thinking about starting to provide specific ones for differnt flash versions. This will yield more power, but be specific for a given version.
Of course if Mazda finally settles down for a while it will get easier.

We also have the programming kits built now, so people can get that ($75 for cable and software) and then we can just email them new maps and they can re-flash the Stage1/2 kit as new ones come out..

appreciate the info. I am still trying to sort through the "L" posts to try to find out if my very early VIN can and should be flashed to "L" and now I guess I'll be wondering the same about "M". I got close to 21MPG overall before winter set in. I've only driven about 800-900 miles since October so the winter gas formula and whatnot have left me with about 18-19MPG the past couple tanks with the present seeming worse so far - but that's still better than some ever get. In other words, I'm not convinced getting "L" will help my car.
