Question MM tune with CAT

I just took the plunge and bought an AP due to the discontinuation. I wanted to see if other people have run a stock cat or RP supercat with a MM tune? I am buying a midpipe for when I go on the track, but don't think I want to deal with fumes on a daily basis. I was thinking of either keeping my stock cat or buying a RP supercat for daily driving. Before I did this though I wanted to see if people had experience of cat life with a MM tune. Thanks.

somewhere here I have read that supercats actually flow LESS than normal cats ...

I can't speak from experience, but the tune should help you regardless. You may want to make sure that he tunes your car catless for the best results though

MM tune can getmost of the smell away. From the outside, you can tell but very little.

Don't know what the smell with MM tune is like in the cabin with midpipe.

I have the RP cat and it's a pretty good item when paired with MM's tuning.
My last RP lasted about 11,000 miles but it's demise was caused by the ginormous speed bump at MNAO's headquarters. (I put a nice big dent in the cat which most likely broke the cat material)

I had RP repair the cat for me last year and so far it's holding up quite nicely despite the leaner AFR's.

well, on OEM maps I was EASILY pegging the wideband at 11 AFR at WOT around 4k.
I'm closer to 13's at this point. Probably somewhere in the 12.8 - 13.2 at wot.

Are you NA? That's actually at tiny bit richer than you want to be for NA.

Isn't 14.7 best for CAT?

The ecu is tuned to run a bit rich to make the cat last longer. 14.7 makes the exhaust temps to hot for cat longevity.

IIRC from when i looked at the tables on OEM map, ~30% or more of the total range had a target AFR well below 11. i think there were places where the target value was in the low 9's

^^ I agree but without an aftermarket gauge, all I see on my graphs is 11.
I'm pretty sure it was well below that as you mentioned.

I think that's the rich limit of the stock wideband as far as reporting goes ....
