From your experience, do you see this as possible, or does the ME LogViewer need to be capable of understanding the logs as well?

I haven't really looked into it so can't give you much of an answer .

You can manipulate the tune to work by several methods . The best/most consistent results for all load ranges come when reality matches your tune as closely as possible. IE injectors are correct, maf/calc load is a true number , Ve is a realistic number,IAT is correct and target afrs are reasonably close to actual.

Prosport is really a step behind, the LC1 has a com1 out, then you can do a com1 to usb adaptor and boom you have connection to the PC, furthermore you can log with innovative software independently with logworks 3.09, free.

but having the signal sent to the computer means you can potentially get the info with ME's logging software or some of the free logging software I have seen. Innovate also offers there logworks SDK developers package so the programmer of ME could potentially without much effort integrate LC1 with ME, like the non buggy version of Cobb ATR.

also they finally released an LC2. still uses com ports though

So by using the LC1/LC2 connected to the computer via serial/USB, is there a way to sync that log while the Cobb is logging other values?

with that screen shot from brettus its intergreated!!!

as far as syncing I would try to start the logs the same time then do some controlled movments like small accel then cruise then accel then begin loging, you could sync them up with the short bursts

If it is plugged into the laptop ...... surely all you have to do is press start on ME and it will be syncd with and included in the ME log !

Ya this is the main reason I am looking at OP/ME, so I can log an external WB. My '06 version of ATR/AP doesn't work for external WB logging, so the best I could do is as you mentioned, start the logs at the same time and try to manually sync them up after the fact. But I am worried about errors that might result. Second reason is that I eventually want to turn up the boost, so, being able to go over 200% load would be nice. As someone posted life begins at 10psi and I am getting a tad comfortable with 10psi I can probably gain some headroom now, like Brettus was saying, but eventually I'd like to have the capability to go higher... It is addicting, as my bald rear tires can attest!

Just realised my AEM uego could work with this
Instructions say it has to connect to an RS232 port (which my laptop doesn't have ) .
But i do have a rs232 to usb converter .......... maybe ....

Tuning for a guy right now who is hitting 10psi and 4.8v on a gt3582 top mount (exact same numbers Slash is reporting)
His max recorded load is 178% so far .

At 13psi he will be nudging 200% . No reason slash couldn't be doing the same.

What AFR and timing are your targeting at 10psi and 13psi? What is his g/s at 4.8v? 3.5" intake?

As an aside - before we redesigned the maf setup . It was reading 20% higher than it should have been . Maf setup can play a big role ...............

Sorry im late to this discussion, but when I was first playing around with ME I noticed that panel in the menu's too. what sparked my interest was the TechEdge WBo2 option. I actually have one of these units along with an Bosch LSU(??) 4.9 O2 sensor that I was going to use on another car, but I may now use I the RX8 (or just buy another WBo2 kit).

this unit I have (2j/2 or something like that) allows for data logging of 4 external channels plus the wideband o2. it also allows you to send a (modified/true?) NB o2 signal to the factory ecu if required. months ago I wondered if this unit could also be use to run the rear o2 sensor on a catless rx8 exhaust system, and with the correct modifications to the output table, the "cat-less CEL' might be prevented. tho, it is a long way about it.

Not that I have tried it, but id assume with ME and the TE WBo2, you could log sensors not a part of the factory ECU (boost/true oil pressure etc) in time with the factory data. TechEdge also have some 52mm gauges for the logger, and logging can be activated from buttons on the gauge. im not sure if that will trigger ME tho??

okay, now for a question to get you thinking! my car was stolen 2 weeks ago, it has since been recovered, is decent condition too, no body damage, but also no keys, so I haven't been able to try starting it as yet. anyway, back to my problem. in the glove box of the car was my tactrix OP2.0! and a GoPoint BT1, now the BT1 is easy enough to replace, but I remember the ME setup saying something about being "Locked" to a single OP. any suggestions, advice I how I go about using ME once my new OP2.0 arrives??

only thing I can suggest is you go back to epifan and explain what happened , you might get lucky . Can't really see why he wouldn't just get you going again free of charge ....

Brett
Those RS232 to USB converters can cause problems, especially if its a cheap one.
Might be worth trying another one if you can get your hands on one.

Tactrix said there is an input directly on the OpenPort, a 2.5mm jack, that will take an analog 0-5v or a serial data connection. I don't have one yet, so only speculating, but if you can connect directly to that then perhaps the PC connection becomes a non-issue.
