Hey guys, I have a CEL going off for my air pump being broken and a midpipe. I also have a cobb ap, and would like to get a how-to or instructions on masking the CEL light.

Before flames, i have searched the forums; found nothing.

 

you not alone! i guess alot of new cobb owner want to know how to mask the CEL as well. but i guess seem to be no one can give answer in this club! we are sad (-.-)

Nice bump shydevil. 4 year old thread and the guy has not been on in 3 years. Also that comment is just the reason most people won't help you.

To remove a CEL light. Open access tuner race. Load your current Map. Click Edit then advanced parameters. Uncheck the number that you are getting a code for. Then Save the map upload it on your cobb and flash it to your car. it will take about 10 minutes from start to finish.


Now if you would have bothered to search through access tuner race as much as you do old forums you would have figured it out already. Or just read the stickey in the tuning sub forum i bet it has that info in there.

Even better since you want people to be so helpful. Take those instructions and search through the club posting it on at least 20 threads where people have asked how to mask a CEL and the only response is to reed NOOB.

Then maybe you can be the person that is helping people here.

 

yeah... finally done! i get masked of my p2096 by modifi ATR stock map! great n many thx to all you guys (^-^) i guess my next learn is how to make my personal performce map in future! i will study hard to learn from all of you! this is a great club and you are great peoples.

I'm still waiting to see you bump some of those unanswered threads. I took the time to go through it and give you a direct step by step. I don't think it's much to ask that you take the time to spread the information so it is easier for people to find.

 

is any chance and how to modifi my stock map can compare with cobb stage1 map? cuz i can feel my stage1 map is better respond n smoother than my stock map! i have catness midpipe n cat back exhaust only in my 8. also want to know did cobb stage1 build better performance that there stock map?

ok, well I'll give you one last hint then wait for you to help some people before I help you again.

You can open access tuner race 2 times. Load the Stage 1 on one and load the stock map on another then directly compare the two for yourself.

 

Hmmmm.... i think cobb stage1 is more powerful than his stock map

What? A Little look through the maps might tell you something about that if your are a rotary tuning expert, but if you can't figure out how to mask a CEL I doubt you are at that level.

The only differance from stock and stage one is a little timing. Even if that makes it more powerful. It is so small you could not measure it. Heck you'd get better performance by driving on a low tank of fuel then you would get from those timing changes.

I know nothing about tuning for power, but I would guess you get more power from removing the excess fuel up top then you do by those timing changes.
