INT-X Problem

Im trying to connect to the INT-X with my serial to usb connector. I'm on windows vista, and i have the beta version 1.1 software. I configured my ports so the int-x would hook up through com port 1.

It will connect properly for a few seconds and then a box pops up saying "Laptop tuning software ha stopped working" and give me an option to send an error report to microsoft. Has anyone else come across this problem before?

Well I'm using a brand called Dynex from best buy. I've read from the microtech forum that it might have to do with the adapter. Where would I be able to get a good one? Or what is a good brand of serial to usb?

Just be careful about cable length! I found that using a shorter cable (mine was pretty damn long) resolved most of my communication issues.
