If I had separate latency tables, I think I could do better on the target vs actual...

No cat helps too I will admit on the MPG.

You're definitely spending more time than necessary on the scaling, but hey it's your car.

If you have traction in 1st you need to turn the boost up.

Agreed. With my software though, it isn't really hard to do since the numbers are crunched for me. I am mostly just trying to see how close I can get (basically I am a statistical nerd).

I am running 265's in the rear, so I think I will have traction(ish), I'll start on the EBC this weekend. I think I can get 190% Load at around 3500 in 1st, that would be pretty nice.

are you playing with the ssv opening time?
I have a thread started on this and when my low compression build is finished ( hopefully next week) I plan on looking at that very closely.

I LIKE the better safe than sorry approach you are doing.

I haven't messed with the SSV's at all.

Suck it...

Now before all the "it's not a dyno" nerds chime in. AEM intake (factory size housing), that is 4.8 Volts at 10.1 PSI. Scaling aside, the mechanics of the sensor cannot be screwed with.

Looks like my ported motor needs APV's to open earlier....

Also looks like the 3071R can flow just fine up top.....

I am 11 tunes in since coming home, if you count the mechanical fixes, it it a few hundred.

For just the tuning, maybe 40 hours total in the last 2 months.

As has been mentioned previously, I am overly **** about my tuning. I didn't even start on boosting until all my AFR's were within 3% of my targets, and I didn't start on the EBC until all my boosted values were within 3% too....you light your car on fire a few times, it makes you paranoid I guess.

I realize this is an old post but since this chap didn't give me credit for it, I'll say it myself. I am the one who reprogrammed the stock FD ECU ..thus provided them with a 3D view of the map(s).

thanks and congrat's on that, but the guy who posted it is an expert on promoting information here that is not particularly relevant to the Renesis application

Though, the OE timing map for the FD is a pretty good starting point for FI ignition timing on the Renesis.

And, just for reference, who might you be? Reprogrammed the stock FD belonging to who? Provided who with the 3D view of the map?

BTW - This is the base leading timing of the FD in a more useable format:

only because it is so unaggressive as compared to what a Renesis will take, so yeah it would be extremely safe for sure

Really, for an FI application, it is pretty close to nominal for the Renesis.
The 2° or so of "safety" margin is readily absorbed by the higher compression ratio.

it doesn't seem that way to me, but it's neither the first nor last time we will ever agree to disagree
